Enessa Carbone, Esq.

Enessa Carbone, Esq. is a longtime community advocate and successful business owner and attorney. Following in the Carbone family’s legacy of service, she is a committed philanthropist who has made it a priority to invest in and improve the Utica area and the Mohawk Valley.

Through her work with the Carbone Auto Group and Lithia Motors, Inc., and driven by a strong personal desire to give back, Ms. Carbone has supported a variety of regional organizations, groups and institutions that help others in the community. These organizations include The House of the Good Shepherd and the Kelberman Center, among many others.

Most notably, Ms. Carbone and the Carbone family, in conjunction with Upstate Cerebral Palsy, brought the Promise Room to Utica. The ABA therapy program offers life-altering treatment to young children with autism.

Ms. Carbone has served on several community boards, including Mohawk Valley EDGE, Upstate Cerebral Palsy, the Greater Utica Division of the American Heart Association, the United Way of the Mohawk Valley, and many others.

She has also been a YWCA Salute to Outstanding Women honoree, and received the Accent on Excellence Program and “40 Under 40” awards for her significant contributions to her workplace and the leadership she has demonstrated in Oneida and Herkimer counties.

Most recently, she, along with Christine Martin, redeveloped a vacant building in downtown Utica and transformed it into the Westwood Building. The property now features the Street Corner Urban Market, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches and loft apartments. Ms. Carbone’s efforts, which were recognized with the 2019 Leading Edge Award for her contribution to the economic growth of the Mohawk Valley, have helped to revitalize Utica’s downtown neighborhood.

Ms. Carbone lives in New Hartford with her husband, Salvatore Raspante, and daughter, Gabriella Raspante. Her oldest daughter, Nicole Betro, lives in Portland, Oregon with her fiancé, Matthew Bonds. Her son, Michael Betro, resides in the Westwood Building in Utica.
