I provide a caring and safe environment for my clients, valuing the process of getting to understand them on a deeper level. Therapy will be both emotionally explorative and solution-focused each session, allowing the client to learn about one’s thoughts and feelings, as well as develop coping skills in order to reduce negative symptoms. I have gathered experience working with teens, adults, and couples, with a special interest in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, individual therapy for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-harm and trauma, as well as couples therapy focusing on relational, marital and/or sexual difficulties.
I offer an integrative approach to counselling, drawing from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Attachment theory, and Cognitive-Behavioural therapy, while also employing aspects of Emotion-focused therapy and Gottman strategies. I offer therapy services to individuals as well as couples for marital therapy. I also co-facilitate DBT group therapy.
My treatment approach places a strong emphasis on self-compassion, warmth and understanding. I strive to ensure that all clients feel heard and safe. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I am happy to answer them. Comfort and reassurance is a top priority.
