Strange World Reviews
Weirdly enough, I thought that this movie was sorta good. It had a really promising start and had a great premise, but it kind of just undelivered everything afterwards. The main complaint I have is that the world building is just so uninteresting. The strange world that they supposedly explore was so bland and boring which sucked because half the movie was spent there. Although there are some aspects which I enjoyed like, the adventure theme which kind of reminded me of Indiana Jones. And the message of this movie is just so generic. It's literally just "Be yourself. Follow your dreams." "Turn existing characters into a marketable plushie." 6/10
Disney.. what happened? You guys are known for some great movies but that just makes this worse. Do not watch
Its Really Good And Different
La acepto ya que la pelĂcula te entretiene , te toca el corazĂ³n y su historia te encantarĂ¡ Esta es una de las joyas que trajo Disney
We couldn’t finish this film, it wasn’t your usual Disney and even my toddler got very bored very quickly
I watched this with my 3 year old daughter and now she wants to be Prince Charming. Why is Disney putting these strange thoughts in children’s brains. The plot was ass btw too.
What has Disney been doing lately....
It’s not anywhere near as magical or loving as classic Disney cartoons, but at least the production crew of this film tried, and in the product, they gave us beautiful animation, impressive action sequences, and some humor both adults and kids can savor.
Didn't go into it expecting a whole lot. My opinion was that the story telling was very bland and predictable
hm idk about this movie it was kinda mid
This movie was boring.
Doesn't have the creative spark, technical looks or storyline to make this movie interesting
Cool idea, but wasn't enough
Meh it was not so Good but HEY! at least is better than Wish
We were surprised to see all of the negative comments about this movie. The concept is based on ancient folklore from several cultures and is one of the more original and interesting stories from Disney animation in quite some time. I understand that there was certain content that really upset some people, but it's a minor factor in the movie and really feels like a complete non-issue. In fact, we'd been wanting to see Strange World just to see if it was worthy of the uproar. What we found was a great story based off of an ancient tale, rich (albeit modern styling) animation, the classic bits of comic relief, culminating in action and struggles to mend a multitude of relationships and issues.
I loved that this movie was different regarding the biological aspect of the living world where this movie takes place. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an interesting movie to watch. I also think it's a great movie for a "free" day in biology class, as you can compare and contrast this "world" with the inner workings of the human body.
It was okay and I thought the concept was cool but I'm glad I just watched it on Disney +.
The plot is kinda dull and slightly chaotic, but overall, I give the movie a 2/10
There's a reason this film lost $200m. Don't be led astray by the ratings, don't waste your time...
Great concept. Love the representation and hope to see more of this from Disney. Could've done more with this film, however. Falls short compared to other Disney films from the past. Love the use of new stories and the fact that this film is not just a remake or a different version of past Disney stories. Worth the watch, but doesn't have any rewatch value for me. I watched it once and forgot about it. Could've gone much deeper with the story.
