Housing Pirate Notice

It has come to our attention that an outside organization, commonly referred to as a “housing pirate,” may attempt to contact you regarding accommodation and housing arrangements for PVA events.

A housing pirate is a company or individual that falsely represents themselves as an official housing provider for an PVA event and often solicits exhibitors and attendees to book accommodations through them at inflated rates or with hidden fees. No one should ever call you or email you to book your hotel rooms, on behalf of PVA.

These housing pirates will tell you that an PVA employee told them to call you or that these housing pirates can get cheaper rates at the Conference Hotel. Please do not fall for this scam. You will end up without a hotel room and you will lose your money.

We strongly urge you to make your hotel reservations through PVA event websites or by a reservation link provided by an PVA employee or a conference registration confirmation only.

List Purveyors: Please be aware that PVA does not share our event attendee lists with outside companies. If you received an email offering the list, it is done so fraudulently, and you should ignore it.

If you have any questions or concerns related to housing for PVA events, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team at [email protected]
