Display of License

The license certificate shall be displayed in the primary office or place of employment of the licensee. In the absence of a primary office or place of employment, or when the licensee is employed at multiple locations, the licensee shall carry a current identification card.

You may not display a photocopy of a license certificate or carry a photocopy of an identification card in lieu of the original document. A file copy shall be clearly marked as a copy across the face of the document.


Complaint Sign

If you provide services and/or products to consumers at your place of business, then you must have a sign prominently displayed that informs consumers of how to make a complaint.

The required Complaint Sign (PDF) may be downloaded and printed at your convenience.


Information on Bill of Sale

On any bill of service or receipt of sale, you must provide customers with information on how to submit a complaint, including TDLR's name, mailing address, and telephone numbers.

There is no prescribed format for how to present this information, but an acceptable example is shown below:
