1 woman dead after rollover car crash in Highgate

HIGHGATE, Vt. (WCAX) - Police say a Vermont woman is dead after a crash in Highgate, but two children in the car were not injured.

Vermont State Police say it happened Thursday at about 5:30 p.m. on Morey Road.

When they responded to the scene, they found a car that had rolled over multiple times. Troopers say the driver, Savannah Lambert, 31, of St. Albans, died of her injuries.

Police say Lambert was driving north when she lost control of the car on a curve, went off the road and was ejected from the vehicle. They say she was not wearing a seat belt.

There were two children in the car at the time of the crash. Police say both kids were in car seats and were uninjured.
