FRANKFORT, KY — On June 20, 41-year-old Jason Pitcock of Fountain Run was sentenced to eight years in prison for the possession and viewing of child exploitation material.

The Department of Criminal Investigations' Special Victims Unit in the Office of the Attorney General investigated the case and Monroe County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jesse Stockton prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.

According to a statement issued on July 5 by Attorney General Russell Coleman, Pitcock previously pled guilty to four counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12 and four counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 18.

“Those who exploit innocent children in our Commonwealth will receive a strong response from law enforcement and prosecutors here,” said Attorney General Coleman. “Our DCI detectives and Commonwealth’s Attorney Jesse Stockton collaborated extensively. Now this criminal is behind bars and potential predators will think twice about preying on Kentuckians.”

Monroe County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jesse Stockton stated, "The actions committed by this individual are abhorrent, and I am proud to have played a role in ensuring he is no longer a threat to our community."
