Mister Softee NorCal

Best soft serve ice cream ever! You are never too old to have ice cream from an ice cream truck! Mister Softee's ice cream is the softest and most creamiest ice cream I have ever tried. I ordered the Rainbow Sprinkles Vanilla Soft Serve cone and it started melting almost immediately! I had to make sure to eat it quickly or else the whole thing would have been on the ground quickly.

The truck has lots of options to try from normal soft serve cones to sundaes, all offered with lots of options for toppings! All of their offerings are posting clearly outside their truck.

There was only one person working in the truck and the line was long, but the worker was able to get through the line rather quickly. Defiantly recommend stopping for some ice cream if you ever see the truck around. The truck plays the familiar ice cream truck tunes so you'll be able to hear if you are close by.

A few weeks ago my wife exclaimed that she could hear the Mister Softee tune outside, but it was down the hill and not that close. The following week, I was much closer to the truck's location, so I brought home a couple of cones.
Fast forward, and Mister Softee has become a weekly event for us.
The quality of the soft serve is excellent, luxurious texture. I like a more intense chocolate flavor, but a Chocolate Sundae takes care of that, and adding nuts is for me the final step toward perfection.
We recently found a nearby place that serves real frozen custard, beloved of so many midwesterners, and it was very good, but I like Mister Softee even better.
The woman who operates our Mister Softee truck is always friendly, cheerful, and now all I have to tell her is "the usual".
No pictures because, well, it just doesn't last long. Ambience? It's a truck! It stops at a nearby park, so we usually just sit at one of the picnic tables there.
One thing: the app is great, but make sure you get the Mister Softee NorCal app, not the national app, because some of the local trucks don't show up on the national app. I chatted with Felix on the mistersofteenorcal.com site, and he steered me to the correct app.

Delicious ice cream! My brother in law introduced me to them. He mentioned they have an app where you find the location of their ice cream truck.

I tried their Oreo dust cone since I am a big Oreo fan. It was incredible! My husband is a fan of chocolate dip which he got and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion for the price is great too. The service was friendly. There are other items on the menu I would like to try next time like the cherry dipped or one of the sundaes.

Mister Softee was in Danville for a private event. My son and I attended the event. I picked the Cherry Frosty and my son picked the Oreo Frosty cone.

The frosty was firm, good vanilla flavor with a nice cherry crunch hard shell and a fresh crunchy cone. Unfortunately the Cherry dip didn't completely cover the frosty so there were little holes where the frosty melted and dripped which made it a little messy so have extra napkins available. You couldn't lick the melting ice cream since it was dipped. My son experienced the same.

We both enjoyed our cones and if we see the truck again we both would buy one of the cones or sundaes. Very good soft serve ice cream.

If you see a Mister Softee truck, give them a try. They make one of the better soft serve.

I only came here because when I went to my auntie's house, a Mister Softee truck was right outside her house - my uncle likes their ice cream, so I went with him to check them out as well. I have seen them around, but this was my first time actually trying them out. Honestly, I expected a bit more - the employee driving the truck was not as happy and friendly like I would expect.

I believe my uncle just had their Chocolate Dip , while I had their Banana Split. I have not had a banana split, since I was younger, but this was not it, as the bananas were a bit on the ripe side, so the texture made it not as enjoyable. The vanilla soft serve portion was okay, it is what I would expect for vanilla. The chocolate soft serve was eh, but I am not too big on chocolate anyway - I should had just got all vanilla (not sure if they allow customization, but I should had asked) or just got one of the sundaes instead. It was decently big, so I shared with my grandma and mom - they thought it was alright too and were not too big on the chocolate part, even though they like chocolate.

Love this spot. Have had it several times and lucked out seeing it nearby after dinner the other day.

You can't go wrong with any of the options on come, my favorite is the Oreo sundae. Everything they sell feels so much lighter than traditional ice cream. The sundae isn't doused with fudge and whipped cream like other spots.

They make your stuff on the spot and then you pay quickly after. We've brought a few people here now and everyone always loves it. It is slightly annoying you have to track their trucks online to see where they are, and I've heard some folks show up and the truck not be there so that is one potential downside.

Due to the very long line, I had high expectations for this Mister Softee. I was a bit disappointed. I got a chocolate dip swirl in a cup, $5.

Neither the soft serve nor the dip is particularly rich, and the portion is quite small. The soft serve at the Twirl & Dip truck in Golden Gate Park is a bit more expensive, but 10x better.

With the summer coming, it's so cool to have an ice cream truck in the Bay Area. If you want to know where the truck is near you, you will need to download the Mister Softee NorCal app. We recently heard the ice cream truck jingle while walking in the neighborhood and ran up to it and tried a few items. All yummy. Service friendly.

By the way, summers in SF is very cold with just a few very hot days, but I do enjoy ice cream in cooler weather.

Tried mister softee for the first time and I thought it was yummy! I quite like all the topping options for their ice cream and all the variety. I also love they offer a double cone option to have 2 ice cream flavor on one cone, so cool and great option if you want to share! If you're wanting to have Mister Softee at an event you can totally contact them to do so! They have trucks that can drive to your event (ie: wedding) and serve your guest soft serve from Mister Softee right at your event. What a creative dessert option for your next event!

Just grabbed a Softee. Yippee he is back on Thursday nights!

Many of my friends have been hearing the ice cream truck jingle around my neighborhood and raving about how delicious the ice cream is. I finally heard the jingle on my street and decided to give it a try. I got their Crunchie and Butterscotch Sundae.

The Crunchie is a soft serve with crushed bits of Oreos and peanuts in a cone. It was a good portion for its price of $5.

The Butterscotch Sundae was another soft serve with butterscotch. It's definitely worth a try, though I might get something else next time. Though it is on the pricier side for $6

Mister Softee offers an extensive menu with treats like sundaes and milkshakes. If you ever spot the truck around your neighborhood, I would definitely recommend checking it out.
