A & J Appliance Repair Service

I was busy with out-of-town business this weekend, and my washer went down last Thursday. I got back in-town late Sunday, and made a call to A & J Repair Service just before 8 o'clock Monday morning. Within 10 minutes, Phil, A & J's owner, returned my call, and said that he would like to take a look at my washer between 11am and 1pm. I was so relieved that the washer issue would be resolved soon!

Phil arrived at about 11:20am. He is a very friendly, cordial, and personable person. He removed the washer housing and immediately diagnosed the problem. He had the necessary part on his truck and installed it in about 15 minutes. He showed me the broken part, he then showed me the replacement part (an upgrade from the original). After completing the job, he tested the washer, and it ran fine.

Before leaving the house, he explained the different setting on the washer, how we can prolong the life of the washer, and answered any ???'s that my wife and I had. In all, we had a great experience with Phil of A & J Appliance Repair Service and will call Phil first thing, if I need appliance repair again!

My father and brother are "Elite" yelpers, and I rely heavily on these reviews. A & J Appliance Repair Service received five stars (*****) for a reason!

Phil at A & J put my mind at ease when I hired him to fix my dryer. Over the phone, he offered a lot of helpful information that let me know what to expect. Most places won't do that until after a diagnostic appointment.

Easily changed my morning appointment time (last minute) to a convenient same-day time slot at my request

Fixed my dryer hose free (I hadn't been able to attach it right for over a year

Was friendly and informative during the whole visit

Extra brownie points: I had misplaced my wallet (we're packing) and hence was unable to pay, but he kindly allowed me to Venmo an associate of his. I hate to throw that out there in case y'all ask him to do that but I was oober relieved and grateful. Thank you Phil!

Phil's the BEST! He's very responsive, knowledgeable, and honest. I've had to reach out to him twice in the past several months, and he's been able to come out and promptly resolve my appliance problems. And he's so pleasant!

Phil was absolutely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I even learned a few things about dishwashers as he helped us troubleshoot our water leakage problem due to a clogged hose leading to the garbage disposal.

I learned it's best to run the water in the sink to get it hot before starting the dishwasher for best cleaning results since they were connected to the same water source. Also learned about the best dishwashing pods to use.

The entire visit was very pleasant. Phil was quick, save new right away what our issues were and troubleshooted then before we could even fully explain what had happened. Will definitely be calling Phil again for whatever else decides to crap out on us.

My dryer was not spinning. After going thru Yelp reviews I found A & J Appliances 5 star reviews. I call A & J Appliances on Friday left a message, Phil quickly call back and made an appointment for Monday, but he ended coming in on Friday. Amazing and professional service, with reasonable price. I will definitely recommend him and will be using his service when I need it again.

So my relatively new LG dryer suddenly conked out and I couldn't figure out why. I researched all the tips online - check the plug, go through a hard reset, reset the breaker switches (which didn't look as if they'd been tripped) or turn off the breakers for 5 seconds then back on. Nothing worked - no power.

Finally I called A & J Appliance (based on stellar Yelp reviews) and the owner, Phil, was a genius. Rather than schedule a service call immediately, he wanted me to try something first. Based on his extensive knowledge of appliances, he had me walk through a series of specific steps to reset my breakers, not what I had previously tried. And it worked! Dryer power back on!

This was really exceptional customer service for a business of which I am not even a customer (yet!).

They are awesome!! Phil gave us advice over the phone that worked on our speed queen dryer even though he doesn't service them. He said, like a car, check the plugs, check the breakers, and we had. But he said flip the breaker 4 times, don't know why it works but it does and sure enough it did!! We wouldn't have known to do that! Saved us a service call!

A&J was fantastic! My dryer stopped working so I called them at 0830 and they were at my house by 0930. Friendly, great service, and explained everything they were doing throughout the process. I felt comfortable with them in my house. I would highly recommend them. I'm a satisfied customer with a working dryer.
