      Had an issue with my dryer not working properly on Easter (of all days) and left a message with them at 8am today. I not only got a phone call back within half an hour but the owner gave me a tip to try before he went out and it fixed my problem. I wound refer him to all my friends!

      My dryer was not spinning. After going thru Yelp reviews I found A & J Appliances 5 star reviews. I call A & J Appliances on Friday left a message, Phil quickly call back and made an appointment for Monday, but he ended coming in on Friday. Amazing and professional service, with reasonable price. I will definitely recommend him and will be using his service when I need it again.

      I called A&J appliance repair and left a message. I was called back within moments of that message! A&J's informed me that they did not service my model of dishwasher BUT the gentleman who called provided me with some helpful troubleshooting steps I could take on my own to resolve the issue! I was so impressed with their willingness to assist me despite knowing they were just providing unpaid support that I decided to write a review.

      After discussing my dishwasher draining issue with them over the phone, I could tell they were fair, honest and knowledgable.

      I called and left a message requesting service on my GE Profile microwave. I received a quick return phone call in less than 30 minutes. The gentleman was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, he told me that he did not service microwaves or my area. Yet, he still called me back! Others I called for the same issue I never heard from. So kudos to A&J Appliance Repair Service! Based just on this quick interaction, I would recommend those in the immediate Sacramento area to give them a call. Well, unless you have a microwave repair. :)

      Ralph is excellent! I called and left a message, he responded within the hour. He scheduled an appointment, called to confirm and showed up at my door in about 2 hours. He quickly identified the problem and had the parts to fix it. All is good now and my oven works. Ralph is also very knowledgable and provided lots of advice on how to manage my oven. Strongly recommend him.

      I called with an error code I was getting on my washing machine and left a message. I got a call right back. Rather than set up an appointment, he told me how to troubleshoot the problem. He walked me through, step by step, how I could check to see if there qas something caught in the filter and then said to call back if that didn't work and we could set an appointment. Who does that? He saved me money and got us back to work on clearing the mountain of laundry!

      I had taken a gamble and purchased a new to me washing machine and dryer from Facebook Marketplace. Once I got them hooked up, the dryer make a louder "thunk" noise than I knew it should. Drat. I turn to the Facebook Neighborhood Association group for repair person recommendations and A & J's name was given. The person stated she'd used the company more than once.

      I gave the number a call. Had to leave a message. But I got a call back from Phil within 20 minutes (probably less) and he was able to come out that same day. Luckily, it was an easy repair (Phil described it as "tires came off the car,") and the parts are standard so he has them on hand for a quick fix. He included the service call in the overall price he quoted me for the parts and his labor, not adding it on top. He made sure I can get 100,000 miles from this second hand machine! He was in and done in less than 2 hours. My problem was solved in a manner of hours.

      Although kinda annoying that I had to even make these repairs, that's the risk you take with FB Marketplace. I priced compared the same dryer as a brand new unit from Lowes; roughly $500.00 before taxes and any installation fees. For much less than that, I have both [essentially] a brand new washing machine & dryer. Winner winner...

      Phil helped make sure I'm in great shape. But when the machines decide to misbehave, I know exactly who to call next time!

      After spending a fruitless week with Sears Home Services trying to get my Kenmore dishwasher fixed, I left a message for A&J Appliance asking them to complete the work. I wasn't expecting a call until the next day at least, but I heard back not two hours later. The technician already knew that the part I needed was backordered and likely unavailable for months due to Covid quarantines. He said he didn't want to waste my time paying for a visit. Valuable advice for free!

      This is after Sears strung me along and demanded a nonrefundable fee just to "open the ticket" so they could place an order for the part - a part they never told me they couldn't provide. (And of course they know; Sears is the part supplier for Kenmore.) So - I will never use Sears again, but next time something breaks I am calling A&J.

      My newish clothes dryer wouldn't start. Rather than replace it, I figured it'd be best to have it repaired. I sent a message via Yelp on a Tuesday and got an appointment scheduled for Thursday.
      Great service, and my dryer was fixed for a reasonable rate. I am always more than happy to support a family owned and operated business, and I wouldn't hesitate to call A&J in the future.

      Ok, so today I learned there is a child lock on my drying machine and it would not run, so I called Phil and left him a message. Phil found out about it and told me the simple way to remove it from child lock. I guess I could have looked this up myself, but he was very gracious, and once again proved why he is my go to for my appliances. Thanks Phil...

      I called in about an issue with my dryer not heating up after several months of each heat cycle dying out, one-by-one. I called and left a message on a Saturday morning and Phil got back to me within an hour, kindly working around my bizarre work schedule so he could get the model number of my dryer (which I forgot to leave in the message, whoops).

      Phil gave me the lowdown right up front, because he understood I was direct and would also like a direct approach in return. He told me that the issue I had was 9/10 caused by a faulty part, and that part itself was something I could replace myself, if I was willing. He did make sure I understood the risks of replacing a part myself, and that if I wanted it to have a guaranteed repair, he was the guy to call. He gave me all my options, along with an approximate quote for what he'd charge to fix it. I decided to try replacing it myself (I've worked on repairing computers, consoles, and lawn mowers before, so I'm pretty handy if given the right tools), and wouldn't you know it--HE WAS RIGHT!! Thanks to him I have a greater understanding of my dryer and paid over 1/3 of what I would have if I had it professionally repaired.

      If I ever have an issue that I can't solve in the future, these guys will be my go-to. Phil was nice, professional, and we even had a couple laughs. Great appliance repair company, best in Sacramento!
