A Plus Appliance Repair and Service

We have a fabulous but finicky Miele dishwasher that is starting to have parts degrade and such.

We had a small leak and I called A+. The next day Alex came over and quickly troubleshooted the issue. He looked up the part that had to be ordered, told me a cost, and said he could have it installed when the part arrived the next day. The quoted price was fair and he was able to install the part quickly.

I've used them twice now and both times I had the same efficient and competent service calls. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience w/ A+ and Edward, taking care of an aging Viking fridge. He also quickly & thoroughly diagnosed a failing Kenmore dryer. Solid recommend.

A+ for A Plus.

My (once expensive) Samsung fridge was working sporadically. Called A Plus, worked with Alex. It took a couple of trips to diagnose the problem, but Alex persisted and got things taken care of. While it took a bit of time to sort things out (none of this was on Alex), Alex was on top of communicating with me, keeping me updated in a timely manner. He was always punctual when coming over. And when it came time to pay the bill, he remembered I had an existing service credit that he mentioned and automatically applied to the bill.

High quality work. Communicates great. Punctual. Accurate, fair prices and billing. What more can you ask for?

I have a Thermador dishwasher that started making this awful squeaking sound, so I called and they scheduled an appointment the next day. Alex came over and originally diagnosed the sound as a plumbing issue, but he ran a quick test and discovered it was the aqua stop causing the issue. Fortunately we already had an aqua stop part and Alex quickly replaced it without needing to take out the dishwasher. He was in and out under 30 minutes and he only charged me for the "diagnosis" fee. The best part is that I can use my dishwasher again!! Thank you, Alex!

Alex came out to our home to diagnose our refrigerator that stopped working. He was prompt and honest about the repair costing more than what the fridge was worth. Highly recommend A Plus Appliance Repair and would call them again should we have a need for their services.

I called the repair company recommended by GE, the manufacturer, and they gave me an estimate of $941 to repair my GE washer! With that kind of price, I wanted to get a second opinion.
A handyman I know said he might be able to fix my washer, which was rubbing, making a loud noise, and had shredded apart some of the basket which holds the clothes. He took it apart, but then did not have the expertise to fix it. Without putting it back together, he called A Plus Repair because of their 5 star rating. Edward came out on a service call, but couldn't touch the washer because, understandably, it's company policy not to work on anything which has been taken apart.
Edward was very generous, however, in giving his advice about the combo washer/dryer which I have. Evidently, they are poorly made, and he said it would probably be better to replace it with a higher quality unit then to pay the large amount which it would most likely cost to repair it.

Fast and efficient service. I have used A Plus for multiple appliance repair requests. One example is Alex diagnosed and repaired an Asko dryer for me. He then recently came out to diagnose a Thermador cooktop with an electric starter issue. The cooktop had conveniently repaired itself over night and I only realized minutes before he arrived. Alex was very nice to waive the service fee. A plus is great for higher end or more unique appliances as not all repair vendors will work on such a wide range of brands. I would highly recommend A Plus for any appliance repair needs!

Alex came over and with his magic hands he was able to fix the stove in seconds and waived the service fee. He gave prices if the problem should come back with the old oven, but for now it works great. He has magic hands and I definitely recommend A Plus Appliance Repair and Service in the San Mateo area, or anywhere they are. Alex is the best!

No trouble with the appointment (within 2 days and arrived in window with a call when on way). But technician provided incorrect information on what was covered by manufacturer which led to very long conversations and unnecessary back and forth with manufacturer and technician. In the end we saw the manufacturer was correct (info even posted on website) and technician was wrong, and we had to cancel further work because cost of parts was cost prohibitive.
