Decent gyro, I got the lamb. Lots of yummy fresh veggies, my only gripe the meat gets cold with all the toppings.

Abide is another place for Mediterranean food. It has a counter and a few tables but most people get it to go. Once you see inside you'll be ready to go too. Extremely sketchy looking. There's an issue with cleaning and just yucky.
Good thing it doesn't take long to get food. I didn't want to stick around longer than needed. The food itself is okay. It's nothing more than average. They have all the basic stuff. Falafel is pretty okay so I would stick with this if you're getting anything. They have lots of vegetarian stuff. I like to get the Vegetarian Dinner Plate. It's $11.95 and comes with many sides. The falafel comes with baba ghannouch, stuffed grape leaf, and tabbouli. It was good except for a few things about it. The falafel tasted like it was burnt, and it was dried out. It goes skimpy on the falafel. This didn't taste as fresh as it looked.
I would go to one of the other falafel places in Park Slope, because there are so many. It's easy to find an improvement. There's lots of other Mediterranean places around here that have better food and prices.Helpful 20Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Dec 19, 2019
Solid, excellent take out spot. The lamb and chicken gyro/shawarma are both very flavorful. The chicken is sometimes a little too fatty. I have had the falafel as well. It's good. The stand out here is the babaganoush. It's got a nice texture, not too smooth and not too chunky...just perfect. It also has a very nice, nutty, roasted flavor. I can eat a tub of this every day!

This hole in the wall is my go-to place in the neighboring area for ordering take-out for chicken/lamb pita or chicken/lamb rice plate. Service is quick and courteous. I'm also a fan of the red sauce they provide on the side which tastes great with the pita sandwich/rice platter. Keep in mind that it's cash only if your total comes out to under $10.

WHY WE WENT HERE:
- didn't want the leftover Chinese food for dinner
- this was on the way back to my friend's apt
THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE/INSIDE):
- super tiny!
- I like how it has the ability to open up the store front windows so you're semi indoor/outdoor seating
- very "take-it to go" vibe (everything it pretty much pre-made, it's just assembled by order)
THE MENU:
- cold appetizers
- hot appetizers
- salads
- soups
- sandwiches
- chicken plates
- lamb and beef plates
- combination
- chef specials
- vegetarian dishes
- sea food
- side orders
- dessert
- beverages
WHAT WE ORDERED:
- lamb gyro sandwich
THE TASTE:
- I do appreciate how large the portion was
- everything tasted super fresh
- toward the end of the sandwich however, it was a bit too meaty/salty vs a good mix of the meat to veggie ratio
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- patient

$70 worth of the most flavorless, anemic, undercooked/overcooked sampling of just about everything they offer. Had to bake the French fries and cheese rolls for 1/2 hour as they appeared to have been waved over the frier and never dunked into it. The white sauce mint flavored water.
Most of the meals were trashed simply because we were too bored to keep eating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 29, 2014
Delivery was slow. It took an hour for the food to arrive and when we called, we were mislead with the timing that ended up taking another 45 minutes to arrive. No order confirmation e-mail, whatsoever. In all of my Seamless experiences, I've always received an e-mail of acknowledgment.
Ordered the Chicken Shish Kebab plate and while the jasmine rice and chicken kebabs were delicious, it was filled with salad on the bottom. In fact, every one of our plates had a lot of salad in them. I was more disappointed by how few pieces of chicken there were. I was looking forward to the Zucchini Pancake, but it was deep fried to the point where it tasted dry; vegan, but not so health-friendly. The garlic yogurt it comes with doesn't taste like garlic and is rather very watery--it won't do much for your food but make it moist. I guess you can use it as a salad dressing, but don't expect a flavorful one. The pita bread was cold, which was unappetizing.
To their credit, the food was fresh and hot upon arrival, but we were starving at that point. Prices aren't so bad, but I don't think I'll order from them again.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Neil B.New York, NY64011972962Jul 22, 2018
I was in the mood for shwarma this afternoon, so I typed "shawarma" in to the Yelp search and Abide came up. Unfortunately this is not a shawarma stand and because I did not pay much attention when ordering I realized too late that they serve Turkish gyro, which while tasty, is seasoned differently than shawarma which was what I really craved.
I ordered my gyro with salad. There was nothing wrong with nor anything outstanding about either the salad nor the meat. The portion was adequate and the man serving was nice enough. I sat downstairs in the storefront which on a day like today was enjoyable. They apparently have an upstairs dining area but I did not check it out.
The price for my lunch with tax was $10.30 which was about what I would expect to pay in Park Slope. So while I prefer the gyro at Tacci's, Abide is okay if you are in the Slope and want a quick Turkish lunch.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Marie T.New York, NY3629273276Nov 23, 2018
Very satisfying!
We ordered the lamb and chicken wrap - 8$ each.
Wrapped in a sort of tortilla and filled with lots of fresh veggies and a good amount of meat.
The wrap can be shared if needed as it's very filling - it's as big as a chipotle burrito.
The shop space is small but there is an upstairs space.
Credit cards accepted.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
