Attached to Minami, this is sort of like a high-end Japanese convenience store. They carry some Japanese seasonings, frozen and cook-at-home foods, alcohol, soft drinks, probably more grocery items too but I didn't look very hard, and a variety of restaurant-quality ready-to-eat food including sushi, rice bowls, sandos. dango, mochi/wagashi, baked goods, and more. I noticed there were a few items that were labelled as vegan. There's nowhere to sit and eat in the store, but there's parks nearby to take your food to if you want to eat on the go.
I came for lunch and got their oshi sampler and a black sesame coconut mousse. The oshi sampler included 2 pieces each of 4 different kinds of seafood - I was really impressed by how fresh the seafood tasted and by the composition of each piece of oshi. The best grab and go sushi I've ever had by a long shot. The mousse was also very good, it was very smooth and surprisingly light. It came with a cup of cookie crumble to add on top that was kept separate to preserve the crunch. I thought the dessert was good both with and without the crumble added, but the crumble was tasty enough to eat on its own!
It goes without saying this the food is more expensive than typical ready-made meals, but it's definitely worth it, and it provides a nice opportunity to get some really high quality Japanese food without going through the steps of ordering at a restaurant.

We tried out some of their offerings for dinner tonight:

      1. Tonkatsu ramen for 2 - $22
      2. An 8-piece pack of aburi salmon sushi - $16
      3. An 8-piece pack of mochi with red bean paste - $7

We were both delighted with the quality of the ramen cooked according to the instructions provided. The soup was rich and creamy. The noodle was perfectly al dente (we looked them slightly longer that what the instructions say as the packs were not quietly completely thawed out when we dunk them into the pot). The chashu was tender.

We have been a fan of their aburi salmon sushis for many years and the takeout pack was just like the ones we had in their restaurants.

The price & quality of the ramen definitely make it a solid take-out option for us in the future.

They are owned by the same company that owns Miku and Minami. I got the premium onigiri with grillled salmon and salmon roe. I liked how wrapper separates the seaweed and the rice. The rice is very flavourful and well seasoned in soy sauce and other sauces.

The store has some really good ready to eat food selection. Prices are on the higher end but it is definitely worth it. I prefer the onigiri here than going to the the Takanaka Restaurant. The onigiri here are made the way I prefer it. It is served traditionally cold and the seaweed stayed nice and crunch while I was eating it.

      I will be back

Commenting on only the Salmon Aburi and Sliced Wagu.
I've had the Salmon Aburi like 5 times already from this location and they've been consistently better than the times I've had it at Minami. They are consistent for a to-go place.

      Wagu
When prepared at home was quality. Definitely a treat and love how convenient it is from how it's package and quantity. You can ask for the amount you want.

1 star off as the hours are 1130am to 7pm. Extending it to 8pm would be great! Also, I was hoping there would be a better sake/beer/plum wine selection.

I love miku and Minami, especially their aburi and this little take-out/shop is attached to Minami. The weather was perfect for take-out so I decided to try this place. They offer different take-out such as bento boxes, sushi assortment, tonkatsu and other options. They also sell alcohol and groceries.

I tried the Minami assorted sushi combo. It had 4 oshi sushi (ebi and salmon jalapeño), 2 real crab Cali rolls and 2 Inari. Although it is cold and not the same temperature as the restaurant, the ingredients were fresh and the texture was still good. I would say in order, my favourites are the oshi and California roll.

I will probably be back again when I am craving take-out sushi.

Great bentos and pork tonkatsu sandwich!

The fish in the sushi bento was very fresh and the variety in the bento was wonderful! With some chicken nanban, two different rolls and an assortment of sides/pickles, this is the perfect meal for one!

The sandwich came with some soft bread and thick chunks of pork katsu that were drenched (in a good way) with tonkatsu sauce. My brother loved this and is already wanting to return for another!

Small shop with high quality products from local businesses. Great prices too! I walked about 30 mins just to get more ready made food, 2 days in a row.

I got a Minami aburi oishi sampler (2 salmon, 2 hamachi, 2 saba, 2 shrimp) for $16 and a bara chirashi bowl (inari, salmon, tamago, other) for $13! When you checkout, you are provided with chopsticks, soy sauce, etc. There were also katsu sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, cold ramen salad, teriyaki chicken salad, minami opera cake, panna cotta, mochi, and more.

They also sell ef & be melon and mochi buns , build your own ramen (select your own soup, noodles, toppings) and assemble at home. I got the tomato miso ($5.50) and it filled a small bowl. The soup was tasty and but I wish it had more body as it was watery.

I also got a few other things, have yet to try them. Their website also has instructions on how to cook some of the items since the packaging is in Japanese.
