By far the best in-home repair experience I've had. 24-hour heating and AC repair as a concept gets them 4 stars. It's the way Air Flow handles customer service that makes it the full 5.

My AC went out on 95 degree day at 5 PM. Jose drove down from SF to San Jose by 10:30 and replaced a capacitor on the condenser, house was nice and cool mere minutes later. He even made an extra effort to stay as quiet as possible as my kids we asleep.

In a world when you expect to have to wait days when something breaks in your home, it's so fantastic to have a company that seems to care. I can tell they take pride in running a family business and doing it the right way.

This is a real family business ( owner) and his son came to do a service call. Routine stuff but important stuff. I have a fabulous heat pump in my bedroom that they installed about six years ago., And a furnace installed about 12 years ago. Rudy is the best and i trust him and his son's

I manage two rental units. Preparing one for a new tenant, and we had a water pipe fail (old, corroded) ... replaced. So then I had the unit carpets cleaned ... creating more moisture in the apartment. Then the furnace wouldn't work ... to dry things out!

I needed service asap on the last business day before Christmas. Called around, tried Air Flow Pros HVAC. They put me in touch with technician Rudy Ortega for a same day service ... he tried to help me diagnose and trouble shoot the problem over the phone during and between his other calls. I sent him pictures ... he made time and came out.

It turns out that high efficiency furnaces create a lot of water .... condensation. That requires a water pump to get rid of that water ... my water pump had failed, so the furnace wouldn't run. Rudy removed and replaced the water pump and reservoir promptly ... done.

Whew! thank you Rudy and Air Flow Pros!

I just received service from Air Flow Pros today and I am so impressed. Jose was very competent, efficient, prompt and communicated exactly what was going on with my heating system. The repair was fine in under 1/2 hour and was so much less than what I thought it would cost. Happy day!! :)

We had a heat pump installed by Air Flow Pros in 2019. Jose was helpful throughout the process of wrangling the electrician, as well as the city planning department and inspector. He went above and beyond. Everything still works beautifully and we couldn't be happier. Thanks again!

I wanted to give a kudos to this business as they were willing to come out and service our church. With the recent storms our furnace went out. While we didn't use them because we found someone else that was available sooner I wanted to comment on their professionalism, kindness, organization, and just service while setting up the appointment.
They were clear and concise inquiring on what the problem was. We had a bad phone connection and the woman on the phone sent me a text so that I could send her the information even while we still were on the phone. I appreciated that she wanted to get the information right!! Good customer service is hard to fine nowadays so thank you Air Flow Pros!!

Most of my reviews are short, but these guys deserve a more thorough review given what a great job they just did for us installing a new HVAC system (new furnace plus AC heat pump).

The skinny: Hire without reservation. Jose was excellent at diagnosing what we needed and very patient explaining the options and the process. The work was terrific: on time, beautifully done, everything cleaned up after.

The fat:

We had been wanting to install an AC solution for a few years now, and after finally getting quotes from six different places, which all had different solutions, settled on Air Flow Pros because Jose was excellent at explaining why his solution made the most sense. I must have called him three separate times and had significant conversations with him to make sure I understood what he was proposing.

We had an old furnace in my attic that provided central heat, but it was too large for our apartment, making it far less efficient. The duct work was also poorly done. (Confirmed by the other contractors coming to bid.) Jose suggested the most complete solution of adding ducts in the ceiling and upgrading my furnace to a new smaller Trane unit that would not only be more efficient, but is also much quieter. For the AC, he installed a Trane heat pump, rather than just an AC compressor (what is known as a hybrid system); should our building move to solar, it would be very easy for us to transition. The quote wasn't the cheapest - though certainly competitive - and for what they were doing, it was by far the greatest value. (Other contractors would have left the old furnace, or minimized the duct work.) He quoted a week to finish the work, and that is how long it took.

The team that did the work (Claudio and Manny) were terrific. Thoughtful and fastidious at cleaning up at the end of the day. All the ductwork (through our ceiling) was carefully done with no need for additional painting.

They use Trane, which is a high quality product.

After all the nightmares I'd heard about my friends and their hvac experiences, I had been bracing for a stressful week. It was remarkably smooth.

Would recommend them to anyone!

I asked Air Flow Pros to do a seasonal maintenance / checkup on my furnace and had a question about the C wire for my nest thermostat. Rudy had a wealth of experience and was quickly able to determine a fix. He was also able to give me excellent advice on future considerations for adding A/C versus switching over to a heat pump. He was extremely gracious explaining things and took the time to offer advice. If I go through with an upgrade will be calling this company.

Jose was terrible with communication. He came and diagnosed the problem and said he would be back in a few days with the part to fix our furnace. After a week of no response I reached out and didn't not get a text back. He finally said he would put us on his schedule but then ghosted me again.

I called to get an estimate for new ductwork and a new furnace. I was scheduled right away, and received the quote in a timely manner. In less than a week I was having the work done. They were very professional, pleasant and finished the work within 3 days!

I cannot recommend Jose and his team highly enough for HVAC work.

I tried and failed with 5 other HVAC installers, for a job to 1) remove our gas furnace, 2) install heat pump compressor and air handler, 3) pass DBI inspection with all permits (no unpermitted work) in a very tight space, and 4) manage TECH rebates, with challenging requirements.

Everyone else was too busy, out of market on price, told me "we can't make it fit in the space", or was unreliable.

Jose and his team did exactly what they said they were going to do, on time and on budget, handled some complexity with DBI and TECH. They were professional, did quality work, and were highly responsive.
