All State Appliance Repair

Igor came to look at an issue we were having with our Bluestar range that was recently installed. He was very knowledgable about the appliance and the brand and was able to identify and fix the issue fairly quickly. I won't hesitate to call on All State Appliance again should we need any further services to the range.

IGOR came to look my dishwasher, found out what the problem was very competently explained everything why the dishwasher wasn't working, everything was done very professionally.

Igor came to my house and fixed my oven. He was very professional and polite. Service was very fast and quality of the job was excellent. Really appreciate this person for his work!

0 stars. I almost only every write good reviews but I am obligated to write this review due to the terrible interactions. I've never had a worse experience than I've ever had with Igor. I have a Blue Star stove that needs repair due to a gas smell when the stove is turned off. Igor came out but since I did not have a PG&E service report, he said he couldn't do anything due to liability. It was a quick 3 minute conversation and he did not charge me and mentioned dispatch should've asked first about PG&E report first. I apologized and told him I would get the PG&E report and call back to schedule service. I also mentioned to him that I am working with a third party warranty company and that I would need an estimate to be approved but I would be the middleperson and pay Igor directly when the time comes.

Here's where everything fell apart. From that moment on, Igor continued to complain that this is a waste of his time and that he will absolutely not deal with any warranty company. Again, I told him I will deal with them. After I got the PG&E report, I called him and he said since he already wasted his time coming out the first time, he'll email me an estimate, not come diagnose the problem, and that he would charge me the $85 service charge. I agreed to the charge and his estimate was emailed quickly. I called him a day later and asked him if he could break out parts and labor on the estimate and he said no (estimate has a total price only) He would not write another estimate and that that's all i'm going to get. I asked if he would provide the part names and cost of each part individually and again, No. "I've been doing this for over 20 years and I never needed to provide more. You have everything you need in the estimate. I've already wasted enough time on this where it's not worth it to me. If you call me again and it's not to schedule service, I will no longer answer your phone. Goodbye".

All I requested was an estimate (which i paid for) to break out the cost of each part and the cost of labor. Apparently this was too much of an ask.

About 2 minutes after posting this, I received a call from Igor. He sounded like a completely different person. Apologized and refunded my service fee. He said he should've never gave me the estimate without an inperson diagnosis and told me he's willing to start over. I appreciate his apology and the refund as he sounded sincere. However, I will explore some other options. i modified this review from 1 star to 3.

Igor, the repair man did an excellent job fixing the burners on my blue star stove. He is knowledgeable and quickly diagnose the problem. I felt like he was honest and reliable. Appliance repair is an expensive exercise but you could do a lot worse than this service shop.

All State Appliance Repair was delightfully responsive and prompt in service. Ringo answered my call and accurately informed me that Igor would be able assess why water would not drain from my 1-1/2 year new Miele dishwasher.

Igor came to my home and found the problem immediately. He replaced the 1-1/2 year old Power Control Unit - a very pricey part. I have had Kenmore, Maytag, Whirlpool and Kitchenaid dishwashers and never needed a service call in the first 5 years.

I am very surprised and disappointed in Miele but happy that Igor was able to diagnose and completely repair my dishwasher one hour after my conversation with Ringo.

Igor came by to fix my freezer. It was not closing properly and developed frost. He took it apart and fixed it, and as I requested, cleaned it completely, which required taking the door off of it. The original installation by Best Buy caused the issue, a rod was missing and the deep bottom basket was loose which would cause an issue when the basket was full as it would shift and not let the freezer close right.

Everything works perfectly and the kitchen is nice and neat still. Response was within two hours of request for call.

I have a cancelled check from All State Repair gif $195 in December. Victoria says it's a mistake but Igor was here and gave me a crazy estimate/ wasted my money. I can send you the checkif you wish?

After a complete fail by a competitor of All State to diagnose, let alone repair, my Blue Star range/oven, All State was able to schedule me for a visit on one day's notice. Igor showed up early (he called to ask if that was ok, which it was), diagnosed the problem, had the part in his truck and repaired the oven in about 30 min. The service and professionalism was fantastic. A completely refreshing experience.

Don't look any further than All State. If you do, you might find my review on the competitor from Daly City. If you come across them, stay away.

All State Appliance Repair Review

Igor is a Class A jerk!! He was rude from the first call where I explained my problem with my oven and rushed off the call. I should have known!! He had a two hour window to show up. I waited until half hour before what was left of the time window to check his ETA. I had to leave at the end of that window, but husband and daughter were at home. As I watched him pull in, I had to leave. My daughter, who let in Igor, faced the brunt of his rudeness, called me later to say he was there for 20 mins, annoyed I wasn't there, yelled at her, then demanded his $85 service call fee before he would even open the oven door, then gave a quote of $799 to fix my oven. Don't call these jerks. Victoria will no doubt say that they have no record of me as a customer based on their response to all their negative Yelp reviews, "so disregard", Well, here's a picture of their invoice and my tale of caution!

This is a follow up to an earlier review.
Our KitchenAid double oven failed in that we couldn't adjust the temperature. We had this company take a look. The repairman said it needed around $900 in new parts to fix it. We realized that parts were covered by our 5 year warranty so we had Kitchenaid send a repairman out. He merely reset the control panel by pushing a few buttons and now it works fine. No parts needed.

When i cancelled the repair with All State I was told by Igor, the owner, that the parts could not be returned and he would insist on our paying him over a thousand dollars. He threatened us with legal action if we did not pay.

Not only was his company incompetent but Igor is an abusive and aggressive person to deal with on the phone (never met him).
