      Dave, the owner, was fantastic. Dave was super responsive and scheduled me an appointment for the very next day after my initial telephone call for a warranty call on my True Ice machine.

      Dave showed up exactly when he said he would and looked at my machine. It turns out that I did not need Dave's service (extended warranty issue) but nevertheless Dave did not charge me for coming out to look at my machine. Should the need arise, I will definitely call him back. Definitely recommend Dave.

      Dave was very polished, prompt, knowledgeable and professional. My frustration though was the silly justification for a very expensive repair.

      My cleaning service got oven cleaner inside our oven door and I just wanted it cleaned out.

      I was quoted a minimum fee of $125 and assumed that would be more than enough to cover my repair. But I found out that the $125 was only for the diagnosis and it was to be charged no matter what.

      When Dave arrived he quoted me $255 to clean my door b/c some service manual or website or something said that was the charge no matter what. I had no clue what he was referencing. Dave: "I have to charge you $255 for a 15 minute repair b/c the official hoogitaboogita appliance website says so..." (or something like that :)

      Anyway, I had the choice of sending Dave away and still paying $125, and having no work done (and then paying someone else to come back). Or I could just pay the $255 to get my door cleaned. I opted for the $255 b/c it was cheaper than paying the $125 and then having someone else come out.

      Dave's tactic is very effective when it comes to collecting high fees. But, I suspect it costs Dave repeat business.

      Our washing machine broke and Dave fixed it quickly. He came out on a Tuesday to assess the damage and came back to fix it on Friday. He was clean, polite and knowledgeable. I have no idea what somebody else would have charged to fix it, so I don't know if it was expensive or not. I just know he got the job done quickly and right. I was able to do laundry this weekend, a huge relief.

      I want to be fair about my reviews. So let me first say this review is not about The Amazing Appliance service or Dave's expertise, for which I would say they earn a 4-5 star rating. This review is for their pricing and cost effectiveness given similar job repairs.

      I was charged more than $440 to have my dryer timer and knob replaced. The issue is that there is no meaningful estimate any appliance repair company would offer. They tell you the must-pay diagnosis fee, but that's about it. You have no idea how much the job will cost you unless you first pay the fee.

      That's what happened to me. By the time I was given the quote for the job, my choice is either to pay the $125 diagnosis fee and get nothing resolved and call another company and pay the whole thing again or go along with them. I chose latter to at least save time. With this price tag, Amazing Appliance is way too expensive to be my "go-to" repairman for anything.

      I finally got around to having our leaky frig fixed. I called Dave based on Yelp reviews. From the very beginning he's friendly, professional and knowledgable.

      I got an email of my appointment time and date. I opted for a few days out since I had waited so long to get it repaired anyway. I appreciated the reminder.

      The day of the appointment. He showed up and again was super friendly and professional. He educated me on what was going on with my frig/freezer. We discussed what the options were for repair. He was very honest and upfront. He showed me the part that failed. He did the repair and cleaned up above and beyond what was required.

      During the repair we were chatting and he asked about my other appliances. He offered tips on how to clean out my dishwasher and for my oven. Not as a salesman to get more business for himself but as a genuinely nice man providing excellent service.

      Amazing is right!!! I'd hire him again in a second!!

      We have a built-in microwave that was having electrical issues. I called around to get some quotes and decided to go with Amazing appliance. They were by far the most expensive quote I got (about 30% higher) but Jen was very friendly, helpful and was able to send someone out next day.

      Unfortunately for me, our microwave was having an electrical hiccup and was fixed literally within 1 minute via the breaker with no labor required. Dave was very friendly, but still charged the full diagnosis amount. No slack. And then he informed me that since he didn't actually "fix" the microwave there would be no warranty and he would charge me again to come out should the microwave stop working a second time.

      To be honest this left a very bad taste in my mouth, I basically just paid him $125 to drive to my house. No parts, no labor. My fault, maybe. But as a customer I felt pretty taken advantage of. Not an amazing experience.

      Integrity and professional. Professional: They provide email and a call reminder for appointments. Integrity: Honored their warranty and doesn't put is down on the list of their priorities.

      So I'm sure there are lower priced guys out there, but how important is customer service, warranty service, and professionalism. Dave replaced a GE Monogram hood exhaust fan back in Feb.

      So fan failed/locked up and I called for warranty service. Dave got back and came the same day. I'm sure there are times when that is not possible but I'm sure he will make the effort.

      Confirmed that fan failed, ordered new fan, looked at his appointments and worked to fit in the re-installation the day he got the part, which I couldn't make myself available so we scheduled the following day.

      Warranty service done and all is well again. Thanks Dave!!!!

      Great experience with AAR. From Jen in the office who was delightful to deal with, to Dave who was right on time, quick to diagnose the problem, had all the parts needed to resolve it and did a great job. My fridge is now running better than ever.

      Highly recommend them, and I will certainly be a repeat customer.

      Wow! What a great company. I have had a very expensive Thermadore range for years that I have never been happy with. Had a repairman out a few years ago and he told me everything was within spec so nothing he could do.

      Figured I had to live with this until my stepson said this was ridiculous and called Amazing Appliance Repair for me and got things in motion. Dave just left and I now have a range that I'm completely happy with. He was so easy to work with (a really nice guy) and after ordering and installing a new part my range works as it should.

      I couldn't be happier and highly recommend Amazing Appliance Repair!
