I Normally do not write a review on services I receive..... But Ameritalia deserves a 5 star rating for the fast and friendly service I received. I was asked by my son and daughter-in-law I could get their Rancilio espresso machine repaired, they live 300 miles away. I had the machine on my workbench for 2 months. I called and the owner answered. He said no problem, and I could bring it to the repair location in San Carlos. Soon after the call I received a text from the tech, Jason. Jason asked questions to help trouble shoot the problem, and said he could look at it the next morning when I bought it in.

I dropped the machine off at 10:30, and with in an hour he called me back. The issue was simple, he got it running immediately. He did a routine service check on the rest of the machine, and said it was in great condition. He took the time to discuss regular maintenance with me and comped me a few poaches of descaling powder. Fast, friendly, communication was great, and reasonably priced. A quality service repair company that gets a 5 star review.

Just had am amazingly poor experience with this "business". Found them via "espressoservicedirectory.com". Called to ask how much it would cost to have the burrs replaced in my grinder. Followed it up with an email.

Didn't get a response to my email until he next morning and that said they had already ordered parts which I hadn't authorized. And then at 8:40pm I get an angry call because I can't responded to "multiple emails" (only one had been sent to me). Guess what, I have a job.

If this is the owner of the business he's combative, rude, and completely lacking in customer service skills. I would certainly not want to buy a $6000 espresso machine from this individual.
