Appliance Fixed!

Our over-range microwave stopped recognizing the door being closed, wouldn't start and the light stayed on. As we looked into a possible replacement we realized it would be like $1k with labor and a big headache, and we also suddenly realized how often we use the damn thing.

Jean was able to come out the same day and give us an estimate. But he was able to fix it right there in about 10 minutes. So grateful! He's a charming guy and his help made our day. Thanks Jean!

I've used Jean before to work on my very old washing machine. I was very impressed with his manner, skill in repair, and how he explained what was going on. Years later I needed a fix for another problem (leaking INSIDE the machine), and he not only fixed it but found something else that was obviously not working correctly and needed to be fixed. He's very trustworthy and knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

Jean Gauthier Apppliance Fixed was referred by someone online. He had a fair number of good reviews, so I gave him a call. He asked me to check a couple of things which I did and we made an appointment for the next afternoon. He arrived on time and went right to work. Jean Gauthier confirmed that the dryers heater element needed to be replaced and he installed a replacement. His estimates, pricing and part costs were straightforward and reasonable. I will call him again to repair an appliance.

Very honest and nice guy with fair pricing. Seems knowledgeable and was able to fix an oven of mine that other service providers said needed to be replaced.

Jean is incredibly honest & trustworthy. Our clothes washer didn't seem to be completing the spin cycle so the load was soaking wet.
He came out promptly and diagnosed the issue as an uneven load problem for our front load machine. Needless to say, I felt a bit embarrassed that I hadn't thought to look up in our user guide! Jean didn't charge us for his quick visit, and was very kind!

Our dryer stopped working, and Jean quickly called us back and scheduled an appointment shortly after that. I was very impressed with his knowledge and technical ability. I highly recommend him! Next time if I need any appliance repair, I will be using him.

My mom referred me to Jean when my washer/dryer broke earlier this year. He came either same day or next day (I can't remember) and diagnosed the issue and helped recommend a new model. His diagnostic fee was much less than other people I called. Last weekend, my oven stopped working (the place really is falling apart) and he was able to come the day after I called, and had the piece to fix the problem. He's very friendly to me, and to my cats. Highly recommend!

I have used Jean's services 3 or 4 times over the past few years (washing machine, dryer, microwave, etc.) and he always does a great job. He is prompt, he clearly explains the issues with the appliance, and his prices are very fair. Most importantly, he is honest!
He is definitely my first choice anytime I need an appliance repair.

It's been a week. So far we have a broken shower, a broken fridge (with a slow leak to boot), a broken car and a broken dishwasher. In one week. For real.

Replacing two major appliances was not what I wanted to do within a few weeks of Christmas. Thanks to Yelp I found Jean. I gave him a ring on Wednesday morning and he squeezed me in before the weekend on Friday. He found the root cause of my fridge and dishwasher issues, replaced them in the same visit and promised to bring by a special cleaner that should stop the dishwasher issues.

The whole bill? $200 - saving me likely well over a thousand dollars not to mention the cost of a new kitchen floor. Beyond that he was courteous, fast to respond and thorough in his communication around the causes.

Very rude and unprofessional. Can't say how good he is technically since he couldn't fix the issue but he walked in without waiting for us to put a mask on. Repeatedly did not keep a safe distance and in this age of Covid-19, I do not think I could hire someone who has no care about the customer's safety or lacks basic safety etiquette.
