      First to Review

      Food: 4/5
      Ambiance: 2/5
Service: 3/5, not bad, not amazing either

I would give this restaurant overall a 3/5 but I don't want to ding them on yelp and prevent others from giving them a try.

The food is well-cooked and carefully plated. I repeat, the food is good. The menu is creative and they offer brunch! And who can say no to crispy skin chicken!?! Let's not forget you can order eggs bennies, pho, and thai curry mussels - all in the same meal. All the makings for a good time.

However, I would give them a much lower score based on their ambiance.
The food is not cheap but the restaurant looks cheap. For the price point, I would rather dine at another location or just get takeout.

I want to like them a lot more, but the food is not enough to override the subpar renos. Just check out the new Pho 37 (the previous tenants of where B House is now located), they did a fantastic job at renos and are busier than ever. I rather go there, even tho, their Pho is just okay.

I welcome them to my neighborhood, but please, either do proper renos or drop your price point.

I repeat - the food is good, but overall, considering the ambiance, price and service, it would be a 3/5. What will pass in East Van, might not work directly in Richmond.

But I will give them another chance and revisit after their first couple months of opening.

The food is top notch. I ordered Vietnamese Fried Chicken Pho. INCREDIBLE! Didn't need to do anything with the soup at all. There was so much flavor. Also ordered the Bang Bang shrimp.

The service was great too. "K" was super fantastic. Made the experience that much better.

Well put together inside with their decor. This will be a place that I come to every time I'm in Richmond.

      1 check-in

      Exciting menu but...

Save for one bigger group, the restaurant was empty when we arrived for lunch. The friendly host/server didn't even bother to check off our reservation.

There were a lot of items we wanted to try however, after waiting for over 20 minutes to order we opted to skip appies. Another 20+ minutes passed when we were informed one of the menu items was unavailable.

We ordered two bennies and a beef brisket french toast. The bennies were nothing to write home about. The french toast was good and the eggs on it were enjoyable. The beef brisket however tasted like mediocre roast beef. A lot of potential but. Eh.

They do have a happy hour between 1600-1900 so maybe we'll come back for that.

      Let's B honest...

This place popped up on my social media so I decided to give it a quick lookup and see how honest the foodies are...

This place took over the corner spot of Pho 37 and Pho 37 moved to the other end of the plaza. There are plentiful of parking spaces available so all you Richmond drivers just chill the freak down...

Inside is nicely renovated with 2 big tables at the front, bar and counter next to it, follow by the kitchen and tables all along the window. It's well ventilated with a comfortable atmosphere.

      Here were the food I ordered to try;

      1. Sweet and spicy pineapple mocktail. A light little refreshing drink.
      2. Firecrackers jumbo red shrimps. The sauce was okay, but I personally preferred shrimps/prawns in shells, I find them tastier that way, plus look more appealing and bigger in size.
      3. B Simple chicken wings. Very nicely done! Skin had that light crisp all around, meat was plump and juicy, fresh and all the ingredients fused together which gave it that little spicy kick to it. Almost perfect!
      4. Red curry mussels. Tasty little sauce but the mussel meats were tiny, need to get the plump juicy ones from a better supplier.
      5. Vietnamese chicken noodle soup. As simple as it may look, but in reality it's quite tasty; the broth was hot and flavourful, the crispy chicken skin leg was tasty and went well with the noodle soup.
      6. Seafood boil. It wasn't on the menu when I was there but asked for it and they were okay to make it for me, so thank you for that! However, it became more of a salmon seafood chowder than a seafood boil. The little salmon chunks were overcooked and turned to little flakes (salmon gets too dry and flaky for a soupy seafood boil, not the best choice for this dish), too much broth and a bit too watery (don't need to over flow on the sauce like a pot of soup, it's a seafood boil not a seafood chowder). Would love to see some sliced or minced sausage and corn in it. Anyways nice attempt!

Overall, the food was okay, could use some adjustment and improvement on certain ingredients.

The service no doubt was very warm, attentive, and welcoming. Quite a handful of people came through the door thinking it's still Pho 37 (guess not everyone can read the restaurant name or in denial that it's not Pho 37 anymore). Let's B real, everything was okay, not as hyped up as the foodies claimed it to B...

Bennys for brunch is always a good
Idea. This place has a large selection of brunch items on the menu. It wasn't busy at all but the service was slow for some reason. The eggs were a little over cooked or maybe I just like mine a little more runny. I didn't think I was hungry much but maybe because of the long wait time I was able to finish all my food even the potatoes I usually don't eat.

Happy hour at B House Restaurant in Richmond daily from 4pm to 7pm! Hard to find happy hour that ends later than 5pm.

Asian flavours with fresh, local ingredients of Pacific Northwest.

We ordered Tuna Cups, Seafood Croquettes and Tofu Taco for $6 each from the happy hour menu. Ordering off the regular menu during happy hour you get 15% off - we choose Spicy Korean Chicken Bites and Lobster Avocado Sandwich. The menu is extensive and adventurous!

The best was the tuna cups and tofu taco from the happy hour menu. The service from the staff; they were very attentive checking with us. The interior is bright and clean look with tables not too close that gave each customer some private feel.

I decided to come try this place after seeing their awesome photos on Yelp. The place itself is located in a corner of the Union Square Shopping Complex with the front door of the establishment facing Caspian Way. Parking is very difficult to find at this place, so be prepared to loop around the lot many times.

Their service is ok, with the waiter coming around every 10 minutes asking how things are, but appeared rather robotic and uninterested. Now for the food. They look better than they taste. For example, I found the Red Curry Crispy Chicken to be unbalanced. The curry is a bit lighter on the salt, but the chicken was over seasoned. The Bang-bang shrimp was small in terms of both portion size and shrimp size. Their sauce wasn't anything spectacular either.

Found this place after reading the Richmond News.
      Immediately greeted and seated
The staff were very friendly and gave me great suggestions
I really found the portions to be perfect for us. A good amount but not so filling we would wattle out.
The food was good, it had some nice texture and no two bites were the same. I like that because my palette gets bored eating the same flavours. This really was a nice fusion of flavours.
