Bean & Bean

A sloth-themed cafe owned by a mother-daughter duo. They have a roastery room which convinces me the beans they use are super fresh.

The interior is spacious with ample seatings and two clean restrooms. Easy street parking. Excellent study/wfh spot.

OMGGGG I didn't expect it would come with a cute sloth latte art on top. The lavender fragrance was strong but not overpowering. Very lightly sweetened. Shout out to their knowledgeable and friendly barista.

Their baked goods were unexpectedly so good. The scones were huge, dense and moist, with a slightly crispy crust.

The savory one was perfect for breakfast. The blueberry scone was coated with crystalized sugar. Good amount of dried blueberries were studded inside. I couldn't really taste white chocolate, but that was great because I don't like it.

Their barista recommended me to get Downtown Blend for making lattes, as they use this blend for all their espresso-based drinks. It is the most affordable option among all ($19/250g). They also sell small coffee sample bag at only $9 for 45g -- the best way to find your next fav beans.

Also 10/10 customer service -- they followed up questions on my coffee beans order.

Nice relaxing cafe to sit and chill. Their avocado toast light and delicious. Love the coffee.

Decent sized corner location with a small lot in the back (entrances at both the front and back). There is a 2 hour limit, but that was more than enough for me. There is metered and residential parking as well.

There is free Wi-Fi for anyone looking to work on their laptops (quite a few people were while I was there)

The service is pleasant and quick.

The coffee counter is fully stocked with a variety of add-ins (milk and sugar) and utensils.

There are quite a few tables, but it does get crowded.

The Vegan Carrot Cake Muffin is moist with lots of filling and nicely topped with pumpkin seeds to add a bit of crunch. A bit on the sweet side for me, but seems like the perfect amount of sweetness for an average person. It definitely didn't stop me from devouring it!

The Iced Korean Earl Grey Latte (Medium) with Soy Milk and Unsweetened has a lovely Earl Grey flavor. It was not too milky, and not overly filled with ice like other cafes!

I used to come here just to chill, sip on a drink, and stare out the window LOL I love salmon and I can confidently say the salmon here is not funky, never afraid to order salmon things here.
Lately I've been ubereats-big from here and I love that they don't just slap on a printed out receipt like I'm literally just an order. They hand write my name and then a "thank you" it's so cute
Amazing coffee btw, whenever I need a break from Starbucks, I either go here or another local cafe near my home. We all need that day to remind our tastebuds that we are elevated and that coffees and espressos can taste different and not burnt

I've only had the coffee. Good latte. It was strong and made well!

Service was attentive, kind, and prompt. Both baristas were helpful and connecting.

Ambiance: I loved that the space is relatively big and airy. There are lots of tables and wifi works well. I showed up late morning and there were multiple open tables. Good place to get some work done or read.

Big plus: there are some parking spots in the back.

Cool bit: one section of the cafe has their coffee bean production machine.

Had a few things delivered for breakfast and they were all very good.
The Hot Oatmeal was delicious and perfectly sweet.
The Hummus Club Sandwich was again delicious with so many veggies packed in there. It was full of flavor and paired perfectly with their Honey Latte. The green juice was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!

This review is for an DoorDash delivery. We ordered iced lattes, brownies and cookies. The cookie was nothing to write home about and the brownie also was too sweet. The iced expressos are good and the coffees are consistently good. I love their iced expresso black. They never make the coffee overly sweet which I appreciate too. We love how they pack it so neatly for DoorDash delivery.

The iced honey latte at Bean & Bean is solid and I highly recommend it. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it worth indulging in from time to time? Also yes. Bean & Bean is also super spacious and I noticed a lot of people there reading, catching up on work, or simply relaxing which I liked a lot- you primarily see grab and go coffee these days! All in all, Bean & Bean is a cute place to grab a little pick me up.
