We went for Belmont Uncorked wine tasting event in May 22022. They televised all the Preakness events. It's such a good way to spend the day. They also had live Belmont horse race n we were able make bets and watch the races. I even won a couple of bucks!! Woo hoo.
I didn't want to drive, since I'll be drinking so took the LIRR, they have a special Belmont stop, so it was easy.
You can bring your own cooler, as long as it's no glass container, so Pack yr beer can, rosé cans etc.
      Try it next time.

Belmont Park is a beautiful raceway and it's not a far ride from home! We love coming here! Even if you don't gamble you can enjoy a nice relaxing day and watch these magnificent horses and jockeys .
Today was our first time back since COVID! The admission and parking is just $5 each and $10 parking for the Clubhouse.
They have been doing a lot of renovations this year . They have built a new sports stadium and are now working on a parking garage .

I'm sad to say that the beautiful backyard picnic area has been slashed to a smaller space with many trees removed , which is a shame . As the work is on- going I'm hoping that they have some plans to expand and restore some of the picnic area !
The building is big , spacious , old and has a-lot of character.
If you like, bring your own food and drinks (no glass bottles ) . There are plenty of benches and tables to sit at , or bring your own chairs. There are huge screens and monitors throughout the park so you can watch the races . You can also sit in the grandstands and view the entire racetrack from there .
If you don't bring your own food you will find there are a variety of places to eat . There's a concession stand selling hotdogs and fries and on the second , third and fourth floors ( Clubhouses ) , pizza , burgers , tacos , sandwiches and full bars and more .
Go , enjoy an exciting day and experience the atmosphere and excitement of the races !

When you are at the racetrack remember to say "Let's get it". I have been to Aqueduct before but this is one of the best tracks ever. Back in the days , you could bring in almost anything and everything in the picnic area , not as much I guess now but still cool, remember to study the horse racing guide and try to pick some winners. You could even spread around $5 in different types of bets and get a good payday.

If you do order food here, you can get some really great sandwiches and enjoy a beer or two while looking at the ponies. Also, don't always be too afraid of betting a long shot. The horse that might be listed at 82 to 1 I mean you never know. The horse honestly does not know the odds are against him. He might fuck around and win you some money. The $2 bet you place on the horse Rogue Agent just because you like the name can give you $164 in your pocket. Horse shocks everyone , then say Let's get it. If you see someone bet a $1000 on one just regular race at the window , just try to go along. They might know exactly what they are talking about , just bet something reasonable. Enjoy yourself at Belmont Park. Get yourself a few more beers with all the money you could win, betting on exactas, tricfectas and parlay bets even on different tracks around the world.

Lee and I spent a gorgeous early fall Saturday volunteering the NY State Brewery Association at Belmont Park. Though a mere 18 minutes or so from our house, I admit that I can't even remember the last time that I was there. Or in Elmont for any other reason than to grab pizza at King Umberto's or because of turning in the wrong direction while leaving Plattduetsche.
But I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the grounds were and how large the park really was.
There were many areas to relax with friends or family, tables with umbrellas and benches scattered around and lots of shade.
But Belmont is nowhere near as grand and elegant as Saratoga Springs with her red and white stripes.

I don't like the idea of horse racing and tried not to look over at the races. I'm positive that these thoroughbred investments are exceptionally well cared for, but I don't like anything about using animals for entertainment or encouraging people to gamble.

Used to come here ALL THE TIME when my kids were little. Sundays was Family Day and had pony rides, face painting and bouncy houses. The kids are all grown up now, but we still return on Sundays. Surprised that the cooler policy has changed and that alcohol in large coolers is no longer allowed except for in the Top of the Stretch area, which costs $15/person BUT guarantees you a picnic table with umbrella. Long story short, had a discrepancy but Brett at customer service (along with the sweet girl who recently graduated from Oneonta) helped us out with smiles. Thanks

It had been a while since I had visited Belmont. We came here for the LI craft beer festival and it was a nice change to be in the clubhouse. Great views of the track, great concessions.

The floor we were on was spacious enough to fit everybody alongside vendors. The only issue was the parking. Since races were still taking place parking filled up quick. We ended up in the blue lot which was a bit of a walk back. Nothing crazy, just walked over some sand from time to time. But the parking situation could definitely be approved - especially the road to get into the gates off Hempstead Turnpike. We waited for the light 4 times before we could eventually get in.

Didnt have popcorn. Very little food options.

I hate the fact that this place is trying to push you to switch to using the monitors to purchase/ make bets rather than having an actual person taking your bets.

The betting windows are very inconveniently placed especially if you're seating in the clubhouse section.

Win, Place or Show?! Depends on what you want to pay.

So I've only been here for the Belmont. It's a bit of chaos but fun. You get your normal crew of drunks who partied too early and surely weren't there for the races and mix of avid horse betting people.

I'm a once a year or so (yup- this race) participant. Unless I go home to Saratoga in August, which is quite smaller and a different experience, so if you have he chance do that too!!

Our friend gets annual seats. We were in section 2N - just before the finish mine and the perfect height to see.

The only negative about this track is that it is so long that it's hard to get any grasp of what's going on on the backstretch.

If you go for the Belmont it's all about the overall experience and excitement. If you're lucky and it's a Triple Crown year- then it's really crazy and fun!!

It is my first time in Belmont and we went with a bunch of guys for the Bourbon and Belmont tasting. The park to me seemed rather tired, and clearly needs a renovation. It was difficult to see the horses and the screens were so small outside. I don't know how many people typically attend an event like this, but they didn't seem to be that many and I wonder about the use of this real estate, such a large space and seems to be under utilized. The time between races was rather long and I thought that there was an opportunity there could've been some entertainment like you see during halftime at the Knicks or Rangers games you're waiting around for a two minute race. It was fun to be with you guys, but overall, Belmont was disappointing, even thougj i won 500!
