Several years ago I bought some appliances from BCS and had a great experience. It seems things have changed quite a bit. When my old dishwasher stopped working in April we turned to BCS to buy a brand new Miele. The BCS team installed it and left, and it didn't make it through the first load before it stopped working. When we called BCS they were unresponsive and ultimately told us it was not their issue since they had installed it, and that we would have to deal with Miele directly. Two months later I am still dealing with Miele who have dragged their heels trying to get parts and service appointments scheduled. After the most recent service two weeks ago where they were still unable to fix it, they said they would escalate to get us a new dishwasher. We recently heard back that they cannot give us a new dishwasher until they have tried three service appointments. So now we wait again, with a faulty dishwasher that BCS sold us, and neglected to honor. I most definitely will not purchase anything from BCS again!

I bought a Fisher&Paykel dishwasher for $2,200. from BSC Culinary about a month ago. It is two drawers and the larger top drawer most times does not start. I am hand washing my dishes. I have received terrible customer service from Jay at BSC Culinary. I have emailed him and called him and I have received no resolution to my problem. He said he would call Fisher&Paykel Repair to come out and look at the dishwasher but I have heard from no one. There is no Fisher&Paykel repair business in San Francisco. I highly recommend doing business somewhere other than BSC Culinary on Mission Street in San Francisco.

worst store in the city. Beware. right before the pandemic they delivered a faulty Bosch dishwasher and a faulty sub zero fridge. I complained. asked them to take them back. they would not even talk to me. I'm stuck with over $11,000 in appliances that still don't work!!!!

The promised to send a repairman for the dishwasher but never did. It still doesn't work. The repairman has been here FOUR times for the fridge.
From the ordering: I have a narrow gallery kitchen and wanted recessed handles on the appliance. When I received order confirmation I called to correct order. Salesman says I couldn't change as appliances had already arrived ??? Although delivery only happened 2 weeks later (when they arrived for real). When I asked my sales person to speak to his supervisor he said he had no supervisor. If I could give the management team at BSC Culinary negative stars, I would. When our Amana refrigerator, purchased here 17 years ago, suddenly stopped working, my husband & I headed here for a replacement. We had received excellent customer service when we purchased our stove, refrigerator and cabinets here in 2005. Sadly not the case in 2021. Long story short, the employee sent out to measure our space, measured incorrectly; our fridge purchased in July 2021 arrived at the GE warehouse in November 2021 and subsequently went missing; finally a 1/14/22 installation date was scheduled; sadly the fridge did not fit through the kitchen doorway; our old refrigerator had been removed this date; unfortunately the water dispenser hook up was not closed off properly and we awoke the following morning to a flooded kitchen area with water dripping into the garage; we paid our contractor $450 to remove and replace doorway trim to allow the refrigerator to squeeze through; the refrigerator was finally installed on 2/10/2022, nearly 7 months post purchase. We did request a price reduction given the situation described above; management offered a partial reimbursement, although short of the amount originally agreed upon. When discussed with Danielle, BSC Operations Manager, she advised that "we are humans and my installers make mistakes." Granted mistakes are made by all of us but those with integrity own them and apologize. Please do note that Jay, Senior Sales Strategist, and delivery folks, Will, Max, John & Johnny, all did their best and were very customer oriented.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide the best customer service experience for all of our clients from their original appointment all the way through the installation process. Unfortunately, things don't always go as smoothly as we hope and the specs the manufacturer provided for your unit were not as specific for the dimensions with the doors off, which caused this situation. I do see that our team returned to your home 4 times until the installation was complete, but since our installation team does not do modifications, that responsibility falls back on you. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and hope to learn from this incident, so that we may grow as a company.

I highly recommend BSC Culinary. Bill is super easy to work with, very knowledgable about the products, and responsive. He went above and beyond in helping us figure out what we needed and making sure it was going to work perfectly in our space. These guys are pros.

I bought a brand new refrigerator, a name brand, from a major retailer. You know, a "big box store". I convinced myself this was "a better deal". It was a better deal - for them, not for me, as the fridge broke down after just a few months of use. Their "repair" service is a joke, because it just broke down again.
So after throwing out hundreds of dollars of food - *twice* - i decided to buy a *serious* refrigerator from *serious* people. That's when I found BSC Culinary.
i now have a very nice, *quality made* refrigerator in my kitchen. The sales person was a pro, the installers were very professional, and overall I am completely satisfied with my BSC "experience".

I was in the market for an upgraded microwave and oven. I had an excellent experience working with Jay Vargas over at BSC. He was really helpful and creative at helping me figure out a combo that would work and that was within my budget. He was also very thorough reviewing the install guides to make sure the pieces would fit. Highly recommend working with him over at BSC!

Today we had our new ASKO dishwasher installed. We bought it through Iyara at BSC.
Iyara is knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. She listened carefully enough to guide me and never tried to up-sell or steer me towards anything except getting what I wanted. She knew her product lines extremely well. And she was patient with a guy buying a single unit when I am sure she deals with contractors and other buyers who are equipping an entire house ... or several.
I bought through Cherin 15 years ago. And I checked them out again on this purchase. The prices for the appliance were the same.
The big difference was in the cost of installation. BSC was significantly more - roughly $30.00.
So why did I choose BSC? Cherins - and most other appliance stores - contract with independent installers. They hand off your purchase to an installer and simultaneously wash their hands of any responsibility. The customer does not get to choose the installer and does not get to have any contact with them before they show up do the job. When I bought the last ASKO, the installer had trouble getting the old machine out from under the counter top. Using brawn instead of brains, he yelled and swore, and bashed and crashed and ended up breaking the counter top. When I called to take this up with Cherins, I was pushed off to the installer who claimed that my counter top was defective, already broken, very old and worth nothing.
With BSC the installers were trained by the distributor of the appliance. They were pros. They did the job without hurry and with great care.
So, yes, it was worth every penny of the greater cost of installation to have the assurance that someone was behind the installation.

Charmaine was always very helpful and friendly. The showroom is amazing and you can even test out the ranges and decide what you'd like by cooking on them. You're just required to clean up throughly, which is very helpful, like testing out a new car. I gave them 4/5 because my fridge arrived without a few minors parts that no one noticed but me. But overall this place is wonderful!

Great service at the showroom, we worked with Charmen and she helped us with all the details. We then moved to coordinating the installation with Randy which put up with our endless postponing. Installation of the Thermador refrigerator was smooth and David, JB & Ah-Hing took the time to align everything just right.
