This was the easiest parking experience I think I have ever had in this city. I found this place via ParkMe and reserved a space for $14 two weeks in advance. Turns out they have that price all the time if you come before 9 a.m. I thought it was great since it was only three blocks from my building (right in the heart of the financial district) and I needed to be able to get on the Bay Bridge fast after work.

It was pretty easy to find it. I came from 280 south so it was easy enough to find coming north up 3rd street. It's a small street on the right, right between Harrison and Folsom. This listing says its on 3rd street but it's official address is 1 Saint Francis Place, which makes it slightly easier to GPS to.

ParkMe sent me a barcode to get into the garage. I drove up, scanned my code, parked in the spacious and fairly average-packed lot, and went on my way to work. Came back 8 hours later, car was fine, everything seemed great, drove up to the scanner, scanned my code and went on my merry way! Three blocks from work, three blocks from an entrance to the bridge, piece of cake. Cheap and efficient. So glad I found this place!!

Good location and price at $250 per month. That rate does not get you a reserved spot though. It is lit and gated so feels safe and secure. I never seen a person actually work in the garage. I do the monthly thing and emailed to get a form to signup and attach a form of payment. I spoke with the man in the voice box to get in and out a few times before I got my access card.

A bit tight in the aisle so go slow and turn wide to get into the spots. Not all spots are the same and when they say compact, they mean compact. Most of the parkers in here are pretty respectful and are careful getting in and out of their cars.

Be careful when parking, as there is something leaking from the ceiling over certain spots. It is pretty acidic and will eat through your topcoat if left to dry.

Not a bad option for those looking for monthly parking in the city.

UPDATE - the day after I wrote my review, they bumped up the pricing by 14% so the new monthly rate is $285. No new service or attendants - just more money for City Park. Time to sell the car...or move out of this ridiculous money pit called SF.

It's hard to imagine getting attached to a parking garage, but this place is dear to my heart. In my 2 years of being a monthly parker here, I have had nothing but satisfaction. Too bad I can't say the same thing for the apartment I lived in located just above the garage (see yelp review soon to follow).

Great places do not run themselves. They require responsible employees who are dedicated to their jobs. The main guy here, Andy, is dependable, fair, and hard-working. Whenever I had a parking issue (which was rare), I knew I could always get things taken care of right away. Any major issues usually turned out to the fault of Archstone South Market Apartments. The garage is attached to the apt so the APARTMENT (and not city park) is responsible for elevator maintenance, gates, etc. This is a joke, of course, as Archstone Properties is not known for doing anything responsible. God forbid they have to spend money on anything.

A major point of note: During my first year there, I often parked on the very top level. One day, I found caulking dripped right on the hood of my car. I approached Andy with the problem, and he got on it right away. As you can imagine, the top management wasn't so keen on paying for my car to be repainted & fixed. However, Andy made sure that the right thing was done by making tons of phone calls on my behalf and making sure that my car was taken care of. I gained a lot of respect for that man through this because he definitely wasn't very popular with the management after taking my side. Yet time after time, he has never let that stop him from doing the fair thing. He treats your car like its his own.

The garage is also opened for $5 parking all day on weekends. It's a short walk to MOMA, the Metreon, and Westfield Mall. In SOMA, you can't find a better deal than that.

I've also experienced the security problem at this city park garage. My car had been there a grand total of two weeks (in and out) before someone smashed the window. Nothing was visible in the car at all, yet they broke in and took a portable gps from the glove box.

City park says "it's archstone's responsibility to have cameras"
archstone says "it's city park's responsibility to have cameras"

Never a bigger bunch of blame passers have I seen... I gave up and moved my car (and monthly payment) across the street to the parking lot there which is super clean, and FEELS really secure. (I used to park there before I moved into archstone).

Even talking to the management of either archstone or city park about the parking problems gives you an impression of dodgy individuals...

Three-level garage parking. I pay monthly, it's an arm-and-a-leg, but it's the least expensive option in the three blocks radius of my office (yes, three blocks is as far as I'm willing to go).

You park yourself, and you can enter and exit at any time. The same two gentlemen staff the booth -- I like the consistency and that they know me and my car. Automatic debit payment makes it so I don't forget to pay.

The only problem I have is that if you want to get to your car after 7pm, you have to enter through the plaza lobby; the regular entrance doors are locked.

Reviewing for monthly parking, used this place for a month when I worked in SoMa. Can be a difficult to find their contact info, but after calling and emailing a few times was able to get ahold of the Renee, the Parking Broker from SF CIty Park. Go to their website and email about a spot, and she was quick and prompt in giving me a permit card, was friendly, and made scheduling everything very easy. Even allowed me to start parking on Jan 5 and have it run to Feb 5 as I was only staying in the city for a month.

Cost $250, not bad for an indoor garage for 24/7. Be careful when calling for a spot though, I almost ended up doing monthly at the Museum Parc garage right across the street from here, owned by the same company, but is only M-F 5AM-11PM. The garage itself looks pretty standard, I drive a reasonably small Honda and my car fit fine in the spots. Like any garage into the city, you will actually put some effort into parking (and find yourself looking for the "middle" spots that aren't next to any pillars). The automated system requiring card swipes and the gates that come down at night are reassuring for security, and I was told there were cameras, but I don't know how safe the place actually is.

Minor annoyances: For daily parking, they only took credit cards for a while. There also wasn't any attendant at the front (a sign said cards only until Jan 31 or some date, but I haven't seen any). Makes me wonder if there is security or anyone roaming around nearby.

Excellent parking garage! For $10 early bird and being 10-15 min away from FiDi and block from Moscone, this place is awesome! I could use wider parking spaces but it seems people are responsible drivers and respectful of minding their doors. The attendant in the afternoon always has a smile and is helpful and friendly, big plus after a long day in the rat race and you're gettin ready to duke out the commute home. Don't forget to use the pedestrian entrance to avoid getting hit by cars and/or the gate and hold your breath from the small alcove just outside the entrance, it's apparently the public urinal.

I had the weirdest interaction with the parking attendant at this location. After paying a leg and an arm for the valet parking, I had to wait for 20 min before the attendant came. Let me remind you that it was in the middle of work week with no one in the structure. After he came, he gave me my keys and pointed to the end of the garage were my car was parked. I had to carry my two year old for a good 5 min walk. I can't believe they have the gut to call this valet service. The guy was so rude that I was scared to confront him! I will definitely dispute the charges!!

I can vouch for everything Erin M. said. There are about 450 spaces in this three-level garage, where I've never been able to not find a space. They told me when I signed up that, as a monthly parker, they would find me a space if I couldn't, although I've never had to take them up on that offer.

Automatic debits are convenient and I'm surprised the price hasn't changed in the past two years like my rent has.

Residents of the apartment complex have after-hours access to the entrance doors.

I have lived in this building for little more than a year and have had my car window smashed and broken into 3 time. Only one camera records the whole place and it is zoomed in on the exit for when cars leave. Maybe put a few camera around the garage for the safety of your clients. i dont think i could be more disappointed with a parking situation. Even after all the break ins the manger still neglected to get in contact with me. Find somewhere else to park!!!
