This company has a record of multiple multiple stolen cars and their insurance never pays the claims.

Their insurance company is Sedwick insurance and the adjuster, Jenah Beale (Sedgwick Claims Adjuster), Has a very bad habit, from the information I've gathered, of never returning phone calls and then closing the claim without ever informing the customer, as she did with me.

NEVER NEVER, NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER PARK YOUR CAR AT ANY LOT THAT'S OWNED BY CITY PARK.

My keys were given to the valet. I have a brand new Mercedes. You cannot just steal these type of cars.

My attorney, the investigators, PD and DA should believe this is connected through city Park the insurance company and its employees... I'm a long list of people this has happened to.

These people are shady, sending cars out of the country to top it off. They sent my monthly bill to collections.!!!

For a period of several weeks, I routinely used City Park to valet park my car for work. The attendants would routinely mark up my brand new car (less than a year old) with big X's spanning half of the hood, or all of a car door. When I inquired about this policy, the attendants would either re-issue a blank ticket (i.e. there was no damage to begin with), or explain that my car had a dent (no, that is the how the car is shaped) or a scratch (no, that is dirt). Every time I had to do this, it WASTED 5-15 minutes of my time and I was better off not using valet parking!

Their over-marking of damage policy basically means that THEY WOULD CRASH YOUR CAR INTO A WALL AND NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT!

I finally stopped using them when they DAMAGED my car. I waited 30 minutes for a supervisor to show up. He then preceded to argue with me about whether the damage was pre-existing (I was lucky that day that nothing was marked on my ticket). Finally, he filled out a damage report and told me to contact their office.

After months of phone calls with an Australian lady at their office to arrange for a time for the scratches in my car to be buffed out, a guy came to make an estimate. He told me my car was dirty so I would have to get it professionally washed before they could do the detailing. We agreed to do the repair in two weeks, but no specific appointment time was given. I had my car washed and then no one contacted me. It's been months now and NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME TO SCHEDULE THE DETAILING.

This company dented my car while I stayed at the SF Grand Hyatt using Valet ($62+ per night). The investigation was pathetic and credited the valet attendant for their 7 years of service. The paint chip was flaking as he brought the car to me. They attached a picture of the stall my car was apparently in. I can find several ways a dent could occur based on this photo without it being from another car parked on the passenger side.
If City Park does all the hotel valet in SF, we will happily self park!

Excellent, attentive, personable and understanding customer service. I was particular impressed by Spencer Sechler and his professionalism and thoughtfulness.

Yes parking in SF is expensive, it's an expensive city! - but their options are fair, particularly the monthly rates.

This review is about the Stadium City Park at UC Berkeley on Gayley Road. I have parked in so many garages, and this one is the absolute worst. The pay stations rarely work; the machine for payment at exit is a joke -- drivers are always stacked up, cursing the machine. (Entry is broken occasionally too.) I was a monthly parker, which avoided some of these hassles, but now that I don't drive regularly, I am forced to be a customer and it's horrible. CityPark in San Francisco runs competent parking garages. Hopefully this flame will reach the right person and they will fix the brand-new Stadium garage in Berkeley.

They drove our sienna backwards into the yellow painted corner of the wall. We knew this because the yellow of the wall was embedded in the dents of the car. The bumper, fender, and lights were all damaged with parts dented and metal protruding outwards. Luckily, or unluckily, the damage was so obvious that they couldn't really deny it was their fault.
The man there was kind of ridiculous: "Here's your keys, your car is forward and to the right. Oh! here's so forms to fill out because the valet accidentally dented it." We weren't really prepared, but looking back on it, we forgot to demand our $28 refund, which they should DEFINITELY have offered us anyways.
The garage was pretty much empty, so I don't really understand how bad the driver had to be to do that. Thought it was a one time thing, but reading the reviews here it is obviously not. Just some advice for if they dent your car: demand refund immediately, try to get as much out of them as possible, and take lots of pictures. SF parking is a nightmare as is without the valet damaging their cars.

I parked my car FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME with a valet service at the W Hotel because I was volunteering for an event there. The people were very nice when I dropped my car off. I picked it up a couple of hours later, tipped them more than I was told I needed to (I worked in restaurants for years, I can't help but overtip). When I got home I discovered that they broke my emergency break. The button was completely gone. It's been rendered useless now. I called and explained to them what happened, and of course they claim that it was not their fault, but that I could submit a claim anyway.

I did and received a very curt letter from them stating that my damage would not be covered by them and that it was considered "normal wear and tear." Fine, the car is older and I can admit that possibly it might have broken, not by brute force, but just simply by use.

BUT, what I do have a problem with is if the company is going to chalk it up to "normal wear and tear" and feel so confident that their butts are covered with this kind of damage - then why didn't the valet dude tell me he broke my emergency brake? If it's covered and not his fault, why didn't he tell me when he handed over my car to me? Why did he take my money from me and let me get in and not tell me what had happened.

This is dishonest and I don't recommend anyone using their services, in the off chance that they break your shit and decide not to tell you and then inform you that they won't be covering the damages.

Terrible Business Practices. Charging customer's account twice for a monthly service, then saying that transaction was rolled back, which was not - is among regular daily practices there.

      Extremely unhappy with their service

Shame on downtown SF hotels to do business with these crooks. They charged me 57$ valet parking so that they can cause 600$ in damage to my car in the little 12 hours they had sole responsibility for it.

If you read the review, their proclaimed "premium" service has been causing damages for years. They brought back my car damaged without any mention of it and hoped I wouldn't notice.

If you don't care about some clowns driving your car around for a joy ride or smashing it for fun, then use their expensive valet parking which a bunch of downtown hotels subcontract to them.

If you don't want to do business with some shady bozos who will lie to protect their job to their management who will in turn lie to you to keep their insurance premium low, then avoid them and you'd be better parking on the street. Their claim department is a joke as they must serially deny responsibilities every week for the damage caused by their careless staff. They lied to my insurances and pretended I brought it in that condition. They had the guts to blame me for not advising their staff about some non-existent condition.

The repair shop guessed they left the keys inside and forced their way in. If you still want to take the risk, maybe you should:
      1) make them sign your own contract,
      2) hire some private security to watch the valet,
      3) be the valet yourself,
      4) have a dog in the car to watch the valet,
      5) follow the valet in a second car or
      6) call 911 as soon as the valet takes of with your car. You've been warned!

I had an issue with City Park a few weeks ago. I brought my issue up to the management staff and was pleasantly surprise at how they handled the situation. Roger from the Stanford Cancer Center location met with me in person, was cordial and understanding. At no point did I feel like an ass that I am sure I was being when I was mad at them. When an unpleasant interaction happened, I thought I was pretty much scrwed and no-one would be able to help me. Roger from City Park resolved the issue on the spot and I could not be happier. These guys deserve 5 stars and I do not often give out that kind of a praise. Honest, easy to deal with and polite. Kudos Roger and City Park!
