Food reminded me a lot like the Chinese restaurants I ate at as a kid in Monterey Park...comfort food. The dumpling noodle soup was really good and the fried eggplant with green beans and black bean sauce was unexpectedly tasty. The congees were delicious and helped them live up to their name. The fried rice and chow meins were ok but not worth ordering again. Service was really good, especially after we started conversing in Cantonese. Please note that they don't take American credit cards. Easy conversion trick: pay the full bill in US dollars, when converted, it will cover the tip.

We were able to get street parking right outside. However the food was just meh.
Singapore noodles - a bit too hard
Bittermelon with rice - pretty good but portion was smaller
HK milk tea - very bland
Beef brisket - not the best that i've had
Rice roll - so so with bits of shrimp
Cash only or debit cardHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 363271291Apr 17, 2024
I love the congee here. So flavorful and filling. The fried eggplant is awesome, too. Great flavours. Singapore vermicelli is another win. My partner loves the corn and chicken soup. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

This place was really close to our airbnb so we came here for dinner. Restaurant located inside the International Mall in downtown. This is a smaller restaurant with a few tables.
We ordered 3 three dishes and did family style.
- Beef stir fry - crispy noodle topped with stir fry vegetable and beef. Flavor ok, a bit oily.
- Seafood Congee - A bit bland. Congee is more thicker.
- Charsiu and duck plate - a big plate of rice. Decent amount of meat. Flavor was okay.
Not cheap Chinese food to eat. Service was okay.Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 22, 2023
Pretty decent Chinese food in downtown Vancouver area!
Congee Noodle Delight was my first eating spot after arriving to YVR. They were a little shop located inside the mall. Tbh, that mall was pretty dead and so was this place. That was our first thought after a quick overall look around. However, we did have some good experience dining here.
They offered a variety of dishes on the menu and it took us quite a while to figure out what we really wanted to order. We ended up choosing dry noodles, congee, and wonton soup. And I thought we made some very good choices there. The noodles, BBQ meat, congee, and wontons tasted excellent. The only thing that I felt weird eating was the tendon. I usually had tendon in Pho and it tasted chewy. But here it was very soft and mushy. The flavor of it was good, I just thought the texture got a little weird to my usual.
They currently accepted cash and debit only (US debit ok). They charged a small fee for to-go boxes. Their portion size was ok, and so was the customer service. Good eat on a cold, rainy, windy night!Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - M W.Vancouver, Canada0146213Aug 8, 2023
Had the dumplings in soup. Counted 10 very large shrimp dumplings and they tasted fresh and perfectly salted. I was amazed how much I got for $11. My friend had the beef congee and we shared a steamed daikon. This was 4 large pieces for $6. This place is a hidden gem in Tinseltown and is a genuine Hong Kong style restaurant. Service was great. Place was not very busy on BC Day. Price is very reasonable and I will definitely be back. Park for free for 2 hours downstairs.
Three days later:
I ordered some dishes for take out. Service was quick and friendly. They bagged the curry chicken so it would't spill in my own cloth bag. I found this dish on the sweet side. Same with the brisket with lettuce.
Had the House Special Chow mein, preserved fish and diced chicken fried rice, pan fried mixed mushrooms with snow peas and sautéed prawns and scallop with vegetables. I like these dishes and I find it comparable to the Chinese restaurants.
I really liked the pan fried garlic tofu nuggets and deep fried eggplant with XO sauce. These should be eaten fresh in the restaurant as they can get soggy if it sits in a container. I ate these in the car on the way home.
Prices are higher than online prices which they haven't updated so ask so you won't be shocked when paying.
Looking forward to try their other dishes. I don't notice MSG as I do with the restaurant near my house. Plus the prices are lower.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 13, 2023
Not sure why Yelp says closed Sunday's. I'm literally eating here right now on a Sunday. I've tried the wonton noodle soup and dumpling noodle soup, which is IMHO the same thing, but it's listed as two different dishes in the menu. The dumplings are hearty with shrimp.
Service does lack greatly here. Waited a long time to be served and had to track the waitress down to get the check. Twice a waitress came by with the wrong order for a different table. If my Airbnb wasn't this close to this restaurant, I'd go somewhere else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - David W.Vancouver, Canada177Jun 27, 2023
It's a small restaurant on the ground level of International Plaza. I ordered a simple Beef Briskets+Tendon in Noodle with Soup. Overall the briskets and soup were greasy and luke warm. Place was not busy around 5pm on a week day. Server just left a cup of chinese tea (luke warm again), took the order and disappeared.
What really annoying was I paid cash and cashier literally asked me for tips for normal and nothing more service. I understand servers in restaurant business do depends on gratuity but this establishment should not DEMAND it when the overall service and food was so so. She glared at me and muttered something else in Cantonese so I just walked out. INCREDULOUS! NEVER AGAIN.
Ps: Yes I do tip according to service and food value. Sadly this place offered none.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Catherine B.San Francisco, CA04424Jun 25, 2024
Very good inexpensive dishes in the heart of Chinatown. Have the minced beef congee w/the Chinese donuts and Hong Kong tea.
