This isn't a public parking garage. I just went there and a sign said only monthly membership people could park here.

They currently are running a valet on the 3rd floor preventing patients and family from parking there even when a space appears like the social club The Battery. Because of the valet there are cars double parked on all floors.

The only other available floor for patients and family is 7th and up. People walk down the ramps even when signs ask people specifically not to. This causes a danger on to the person walking down the ramp and the driver trying to avoid them.

Parking is not cheap. I spent $5 just for less than an hour parking and the discount tickets given to patients are only good for prices more than $17.

Can pay at the gate with credit card

5 Stars for the best parking attendant guy in the universe!

When I ran out of CPMC after realizing that my MRI was at the Webster campus (in 5 minutes!), I'd lost my ticket. The super rad guy at the attendant booth chided me for rushing, told me to relax, then charged me a more than reasonable rate than a lost ticket yielded.

This lot may be a royal PITA, but that day, it was evidence that there are still super cool people doing their thing in SF.

I needed emergency treatment for severe apoplexia after trying this lot. The sadists who work here don't bother with a 'lot full' sign or anything when, say, the lot is beyond full to bursting, they let you blithely enter in seeking parking for your visit to the hospital (which is a joy to begin with) knowing full well you'll be winding your way around double cluster parked blocking the isles madness for the next 20 minutes only to end up stressed and late, frantically searching for parking back out on the street again.

Real buncha parktologists there, they took any chances we had of being on time and wrecked 'em.

I park in these lots all the time and find that it's very convenient in the hellish-parking-jungle that is SF. Like most lots, this parking structure has installed a self-pay kiosk to speed up efficiency, but puts more peeps outta work. The parking dudes are helpful, especially when you need to opt for the valet/stack parking. Overall good.

No problem finding a parking spot for an 8:15 appointment, but the self-pay machine ate my ticket. You can pay at the booth as you exit, so save yourself the extra minutes spent searching for a parking attendant to the retrieve the eaten ticket, and walk right on by that hungry self-pay machine.

I am a nurse that has been working at CPMC for 15 years caring for newborn babies. The Cherry Street parking garage that represents, and is supposed to serve, CPMC patients and staff towed my car today. I am more than happy to pay my $20 per day rate, while patients, families and physicians pay a fraction of that, but please don't tow my car when the only available space to me at 7:25 am is a physicians space. I don't want to take up a parking space that belongs to someone else, but in order to get in to the hospital in time for my shift, I am left with no alternative when all the spaces made available to the nurses and patients on levels 7 and upward are all occupied. So yes, I did take the first available space on level 6, since all the levels below were vacant and reserved for the valet parking and physicians. Could you not have moved any of the other cars that you have stacked by 2 and 3 cars to make room when you decided to tow my car? Or better yet, let's show a little humanity and call my manager to tell me to move my car instead of calling my manager to tell her you had towed my car. Does it really matter what space we are all parked in when you are stacking the cars??? Doesn't it make more sense for the nurses who arrive at 7:15am, before any other weekday 9-5 staff arrive, to take the spaces and stack the later arriving cars and valets since we know the nurses won't be leaving for the next 8-12 hours??? Oh and by the way, where did you park your car today Mr. Garage attendants???....well off to bed so I can get back up tomorrow to earn back the $400 I earned today, but had to pay to the towing yard to get my vehicle out. Thanks again Cherry Street Garage.
