      Fantastic authentic Korean restaurant. Great selection of meats and soups. My group tried the soondooboo, kalbi, spicy pork, pork belly, chicken salad, all of which were fantastic.

      Parking is limited, and service can be slow. Understaffed and seating is limited. No reservations.

      Comfort home cooked style Korean place in south Burnaby. Attentive service and feels family run and inviting. They have delicious cold noodles, tofu hot pot and other delicious staples like japchae. Recently we had the KFC in honey garlic flavour and it was a bit toooo much garlic. A bit overpowering. And the chicken was a bit undercooked. And our bulgogi beef was over cooked so that it felt on the jerky side texture. All in all I would still come back but maybe not for the kfc to be safe.

      A majority of American Yelpers were claiming this Korean restaurant was a gem. It actually was a good place to have dinner on a chilly night. The different types of tofu soups were welcoming, knowing we could let the server know how spicy we wanted and the type of meat to have. The Sweet and Spicy Chicken with salad could be a full meal instead of an appetizer with you ordered a cup of rice with the dish. Jop Chae noodles, Chicken bulgogi, and Kimchee pancake were ordered to go. If you need anything extra, don't expect the servers to see how you are doing. You will need to wave them over to get their attention (Korean method). Once you are done, they won't bring the check to you. You will need to go to the main counter and point to your table and they will provide the invoice, and take cash or credit on the spot. Parking is really bad in a small lot shared by 3 other business. It's best to park on the street if you can. Overall, this was a good experience, especially if you are craving a satisfying comfort soup meal on a chilly evening.

      Enjoyed some hearty Korean food in the Edmonds area with ex-coworkers & friends on a rainy Saturday.

      Loved the stone pot bibimbap rice & the signature soft tofu soup. Other items like the seafood pancake & Korean fried chicken were also delicious!

      Cute little hole-in-the-wall Korean spot with great prices for the portion size!

      They have all the usual suspects like tofu stew, BBQ meats, japchae, seafood pancakes, ddukboki, etc. But they also have stuff like fried chicken, steamed fish, and clams.

      We got:
      * Pork tofu stew
      * Beef galbi
      * Spicy steamed fish
      * Seafood pancake

      All very tasty! Each tofu stew comes with a bowl of rice in a stone bowl, and they'll even do a rice-tea soup for you with it. Nice touch.

      Banchan selection is a bit thin - we got fish cakes and kimchi - but very fresh and tasty. The kimchi was very flavorful and had a nice mix of fermentation without being too old and soggy.

      All in all, 100% recommend checking this place out. It punches way above its weight.

      It's raining season in Vancouver, which means we are constantly craving for hot soup and Dooboo never let me down with their signature tofu soup.

      I often get a tofu soup with pork or kimchi. If you eat there, they will give you a raw egg as an option to mix in with the soup for richer flavour.
      Another favourite dish of mine is their kim chi fried rice. As an Asian growing up in Asia, I have tried many fried rice including home made and fancy restaurants, but oh man this fried rice is of another level! My mouth is literally watering now thinking about it.

      My partner likes their tteokbokki with cheese and chicken and their grilled ribs.

      Most of their dish, you can adjust the spiciness level so don't worry if you can't handle too much heat.

      The restaurant temperature is quite cold in general and it's the only small inconvenience.

      Check them out and you won't be disappointed!

      Went to DooBoo today cuz I was craving soft tofu soup. This place is good. People tell me that their service is terrible, but I haven't had such an experience yet. I ordered the soft tofu soup spicy and it was good. My mom ordered the kimchi stew and it was a tad salty which they refuted it up and it was better. However, when they did that I'm guessing it burnt the kimchi inside and the whole soup tasted burnt. They didn't hesitate and took it off the bill. I haven't had any major problems with this place so I will continue to come here. The waitresses are pretty too lol good food and good company!

      Tasty Korean place by Hastings and Griffiths.

      Parking is available in the tiny lot in front. There are only 4 or so spots. Try the side streets instead.

      Place looks relatively modern. Staff were friendly and quick.

      This place serves 3 appetizers. There was kimchi, turnip and jalapenos in soy sauce, and marinated bean curd strips. Tasty.

      The beef kimchi stew is pretty good. Comes with rice and the stone bowl that the rice was cooked in. There is the option to pour tea into the stone bowl. The rice then comes off easily (soft and somewhat mushy) instead of hard and crunchy (which is then chipped off with a spoon).

      My only complaint is that the food portions here are snack sized. I left hungry, even with an appetizer refill.

      Their spicy Korean chicken slaps. The tender chicken bits doused in their spicy sauce is morish that makes you want to eat more and more with rice.

      Love their tofu soup & beef galbi combo. The soup is super flavourful and LOADED with protein. The galbi is always cooked to perfection. Totally hits the spot.
