Had a great breakfast her the other morning! Definitely recommend coming here. I got the breakfast Sammy with a scrambled egg instead of fried, partner got the avocado toast my way

Wonderful omelettes, with an unusual but really tasty (and very fresh) side salad! Coffee was top notch, and the service was perfect. Loved our meal and would heartily recommend!

Loved the ambience and retro/diner style decor!! It was so cute and made the dining experience much more enjoyable! Lots of free parking nearby. We came around 1:30pm on a Sunday and were seated right away. All the dishes were delicious and would consider returning here again if in the area.

Ruben Sandwich is on sourdough not rye.
Corned beef itself was under seasoned but cooked well.
Overall sandwich is on the dry side.
Fries were good, not great. On the positive wasn't greasy and it was generous.
Bottomless coffee came in a small cup and barely 70%full, very cumbersome to ask for refills. Drip coffee itself was flavourless. I would say it is milder than most coffee in a regular office would serve.
Ambiance was like Archie and Friends (comic book), the booth/seating were very tight.
Parking can be difficult as there isn't pay parking, however there are parking maids circling as this is considering an industrial area and they will ticket.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 7, 2023
Douce Diner is a hidden gem in North Vancouver. They are open everyday from 8am-3pm
We Ordered:
Eggs Benny w/ Bacon $20 (House buttermilk biscuit, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, hash browns or nice green organic salad)
Denver-Ish Breakfast Bowl $19.25 (Scrambled eggs, vintage cheddar, chorizo sausage, potato tater tots, sweet pickled peppers & red onion served with choice of toast)
Bottomless Drip $4.25
Iced lATTE $5.75
They have limited seating so on weekends they tend to have a long lineup. We went for brunch on a weekday and there was no lineup.

Holy cow, this place absolutely slaps. The food is perfect. My smoked salmon eggs benedict was delicious - the most perfect cook on the soft egg - a warm velvet yolk. The salmon was delicious, a sprinkling of what looked like paprika, and the biscuits underneath were to die for. I'll be returning for this dish.
I tried the caramelized French onion grilled cheese, stole a bite from my sister... will return to order that next time. Spectacular as well. The fries were beautifully seasoned too.
This place is simultaneously an unpretentious, laid back vintage diner, but with laser precision execution on every dish. There's a polish to the cooking that really shines - just 10/10.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 7, 2024
I nice find on the North Shore.
This place has character, nice genuine staff, and a feeling of a small, but savvy, locally owned business. It is also in a cool spot for when you just want to go somewhere new.
The food was good, I had a traditional breakfast. As a generally cheap person I still scoff at the prices of breakfasts (everywhere) these days and I would have gone 5 stars if it were just a bit bigger, or a bit cheaper, but I'll be back and happily so.
Being a 50s diner style place I'm keen to try a milkshake and maybe the non breakfast items.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 2024
Such a cute little lunch spot. Adorable decor, friendly staff, good menu selection. The food was decent, nothing phenomenal which is why I'm giving 4 stars. Definitely was lacking flavor, pretty bland. Still a nice little restaurant though.

Had lunch here and ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. My son ordered a double burger and fries. The service we got here was so friendly. Our food was really good and tasty. We really liked the house made hot sauce.
The diner had a eclectic vibe to it with retro decor splashed here and there.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 832882136Jul 31, 2023
Hands down the best fried chicken sandwich. This is my go-to every time I come here because the chicken is crispy and the flavour is so good - honey mustard with pickle dressing. I opt for a gluten friendly bun as I am gluten sensitive and the bun is light and tasty too. The service is quite quick but if you go during busy hours (typically lunch) then you can expect to wait for a table as the restaurant is quite small.
