There are countless horror stories of bad relations between contractors and clients that ruin construction projects. With fresh scars from a previous project we embarked on looking for a contractor to extensively remodel our home with trepidation and anxiety.

We needn't have worried because Ciaran came into our life like a brilliant ray of sunshine piercing the gray San Francisco fog.

We are delighted with the extensive home remodel project Ciaran did for us. His costs are fair, and he is very easy to communicate with and responded almost immediately by phone and text whenever we needed him.

Ciaran is very easy to get along with, and consistently demonstrated his mission to ensure we were happy with his work. He's also quite the comedian who can defuse potentially frustrating situations with his friendly humor and banter.

There were a few inevitable surprises in the project which Ciaran handled with aplomb and resolved to our satisfaction, even when the issue was not "his problem", e.g. he diagnosed and fixed the leak in a new bathtub.

We highly recommend talking with Ciaran if you're considering a construction project.

Ciaran and his crew did an amazing job working with us on roof repairs (inside and out) and a new roof deck. Everything from communication to craftsmanship is top notch. While Edenavow is not on the cheap side of pricing, they are fair and honest. When we discussed billing with them, both Ciaran and his office/project manager Jennifer were open, accommodating, and reasonable.

The work they did on our roof/roof deck turned out incredible. And when they encountered some unexpected issues caused by short cut decisions made by a past contractor, they only charged us for the additional materials needed at cost and did not add any multipliers or labor costs onto the project bid.

The roofing subcontractor that Ciaran partnered with for our project was also a super skilled craftsman who knew his work well. And Ciaran warrantied the project accordingly, though I doubt we'll need to follow up on that any time soon.

Ciaran involved us in the design process, went out of his way to ensure we had access to samples and followed up efficiently and pleasantly to ensure we made fully informed decisions about materials and designed in a timely way that did not delay the project and gave us plenty of space to work through the details.

When an unforecasted rain storm struck, Ciaran was at the house ASAP to secure things. Plus he and his crew repaired the minor internal impacts without us asking and at no cost to us and within the scope of the project. He and his crew left minimal impact on our house, were super thoughtful about their work timing including minimizing noise impacts on days when we were working at home.

Only issue was from the glass subcontractor, who did not have the same quality standards (in finished product or in work impact on home) as Ciaran. But when issues were called to Ciaran's attention, he followed up diligently with the subcontractor until work was completed to our satisfaction.

Overall, I highly recommend Ciaran and Edenavow Construction. Their integrity, communications, and craftsmanship are an impressive combination yielding excellent end results. Love our new roof deck - beautiful, functional, and water tight!

Love my family and friends reaction to my two remodeled bathrooms in my SF condo. I hear "wow"! I am so pleased with how beautiful they turned out. There are several reasons I chose to go with Edenavow. Here are a few:

1- Ciaran's creativity - Sometimes I don't think Ciaran realizes that he has this special skill. He takes his time looking over the space and comes up with great ideas. To mention one he suggested pocket doors vs traditional. This really opened up my bathrooms.

2- Responsiveness/punctuality - was off the charts. From start to finish I could rely on Ciaran to promptly respond via text or a phone call for general questions, scheduling, etc...This helped me better understand the renovation process. Helped to keep my personal and business plans organized and moving along on schedule as normal as possible during the renovation. As well Ciaran cares about being punctual. When he said he or his team would be at my place I could rely on them.

3- Non disruptive/team- I work out of my home and I was able to continue while they worked on the bathrooms. Ciaran has a core team. Genuinely nice, hard-working, respectful, good natured, quiet as can be during a renovation : ), and we had many laughs along the way which made it more enjoyable to go through such a project.

4- Character- we ran into a hiccup after the fact. I reached out to Ciaran and he was equally responsive to address as he was during the project. A true testament to Ciaran's solid character.

From start to finish, we could not have been more pleased with the job completed by Edenavow. Our fire wall, deck and stair project was done on time, on budget and without any issues. It was rather small in footprint however a complex project that required a lot of skill and coordination.

Ciaran and his crew did an amazing job with the construction as well as being excellent communicators keeping us up to date on when work would start, how the work was progressing and what to expect next. They were also great with our neighbors, whom we share the new fire wall with, letting them know when work was going to happen and ensuring that they were happy with end result.

If you're considering Edenavow for your next job, I would not hesitate in hiring them.

When friends, family and neighbors ask about our remodel, they anxiously wait for the remodel horror story..and give me that look of ok....let me hear about the drama. Because, I'm sure you've heard very scary and dramatic remodel stories... my response has and will always be..I love my contractor. Ciaran Dowler, owner of Edenavow. He's like the guy you grew up with that everyone liked and wanted to be around. Thank goodness he's handy, funny, ethical, man of his word and charming.

We live in an old a$$ Spanish Mediterranean SF home, built in 1927. We interviewed 3 contractors and Ciaran was the last one... he came into our home was like freaking santa clause so damn excited about the remodel and had such great ideas (even though we had an architect/design team)! If I gave him just a hint of a thought, he turned it into a reality. "what do you think of this space, Ciaran.. "you know what? I'd knock this wall down create and arch and it would be gorgeous" ...and hot damn was it! Ciaran and his team built the most beautiful arches in my home, I'm waiting for arch digest to call me!

Now onto the details...We gutted our kitchen (well the crew did not me..but I really wanted to and I think Ciaran would have let me), knocked down walls, moved bathrooms, made a master bath, updated electrical (that dang knob and tube) rerouted plumbing and HVAC and insulated and sheet rocked our garage.

Want to hear the best part? We lived in the home while this was happening.. ok that's not really the ideal but we aren't swimming in cash. I was so nervous of the dust and the whatever's as we lived downstairs with 3 kids. Ciaran and his guys always left the home swept up w/ that shop vac and had this magic plastic door placed so whatever debris and dust from upstairs didn't end up down.

The crew was something else, Sandor, Juan, Joel, Phillip all professional, fun and great craftsmen. The sub-contractors, the same! Goes without saying that the subs are also very very important part of your remodel so thankfully Ciaran has some great friends in the industry.

There are three main things you need from a contractor in any project, but especially when recovering from a mini-disaster at your home/business
* Transparency and clear communications - Timelines are crucial as delays = money
* Professionalism - They should know what they are doing, or it can cause more damage
* Fair price
Usually, I hope to get at least two, and it's always stressful anticipating which one the contactor might be missing.
Well, in working with the Edenavow crew and Cairan (the owner) - You get all three.
I can't recommend Cairan enough! Fixed our in-law unit bathroom, living room, and bedroom in one week, working throughout the weekend as well.
Fantastic, professional, everything was clearly communicated and a fair price (we've compared to 4 other contractors in our area)

Ciaran, the owner of Edenavow Construction, is personable, friendly, and available. I am remodeling my apartment and Phillip, one of his leads, did a couple of small jobs for me recently. He is competent and communicative. The work was well done. I have a couple of other projects lined up and will hire Edanavow to do the work.

Emergency rain damage to a balcony caused a leak into a renters apartment. Our stress level was through the roof.
We reached out and Ciaran who saved the day by letting us borrow his dehumidifier and even sparing his crew to help us remove some damaged drywall.
His crew was knowledgeable, professional and worked clean. True professionals.
It's remarkable that Ciaran would simply deliver and lend his dehumidifier to an unknown person in a time of need.
Ciaran is a knowledgeable craftsman and a calming presence. He kept saying, "don't worry, I'll take care of you and he delivered".
I have a full remodel and some balconies for repair and very much hope Ciaran can take the job.

Sometimes it's the little things that matter, and knowing you can count on someone is what matters, I had to remove my metal gate to be able to get our new refrigerator up the stairs (the joys of living in San Francisco) and my world shut down, how do I get that heavy gate out?
I called Ciaran and his company came to my rescue. When you are looking for contractors and work to be done in your home, choosing someone you trust is a big factor. Kudos to you Ciaran and your crew! Thank you!

Ciaran and his crew are awesome, period. I reached out to a lot of contractors to find the right one and when Ciaran got back to me the same day with a cheerful attitude, I knew I was onto something. He completed a number of projects in our house on time, on budget, with quality and quickly! One of the projects was a deck/balcony remodel and his crew cut and planed ipe boards for the railings, and you can see and feel the quality.

I'm not going to even bother looking elsewhere, I know who to call when I need something done.
