Ellison's Towing

I had an unfortunate experience with my car overheating, possibly due to a damaged head gasket or cracked engine block. When I initially called AAA Towing, I was forwarded to Ellison's Towing & Transport. Their dispatcher was incredibly helpful and understanding. They were quick to assist and offered to send a tow truck; however, due to a predicted wait time of 2-3 hours, I decided to cancel the service and call back the following day.

The next day, I called again with hopes of a quicker response. This time, the dispatcher was just as attentive and accommodating as before. They prioritized my situation and assured me they would send someone out as soon as possible. True to their word, a tow truck arrived within the hour.

The tow truck driver, Silverio Hernandez, was professional and efficient. He handled my car with care and made sure everything was secure for transport to the repair shop. Throughout the process, Ellison's Towing maintained clear communication and kept me informed of the progress.

Despite the initial delay, I appreciate the responsiveness and dedication of Ellison's Towing & Transport in assisting with my car troubles. Their customer service was excellent, and I would recommend them to anyone in need of reliable towing services. Thank you for your assistance and for turning a stressful situation into a manageable one.

*Please note that this is the 2nd time that I have used them. 2 years ago they helped me access my car due to my keys being left inside

So I was in need of a new car battery so I reached out my Auto Insurance company and they referred me to Ellison's Towing. I realized that this was the same company that had provided me a new battery a few years back. Well, I must say that just like the positive service experience I had before I received the same great service today. Ciano was the technician who took great care installing the new battery. He thoroughly cleaned the terminals and made sure the new battery fit well and secured. I was happy to find that none of my car's memory settings were lost with the battery swap!

Sorry Ellison's, but this review is for your driver, the one you hired, Lincoln. This review is old, but it's still fresh, and that's why I'm writing it. On December 2nd 2023 I discharged from the Veteran's domiciliary in Menlo Park. On that day I called CSAA for a tow of my 2nd vehicle, a vehicle I bought online, which no one should ever do, and got ripped like most people do.

Well, the timing was perfect, I got a response within the time I was looking for, (I had something very important to do in an hour) Until Lincoln got lost, which is fine, it's understandable, but I'm standing in the parking lot when I see him pass by three times, he calls me as he's passing by the 2nd time, says he can't find the address, I tell him it's on the HUGE wooden sign right at the front of the driveway, he passes by a third time and finally finds it, but like I said, I really didn't care, that happens.

So we're still talking when he finally sees me, as he passes by again, I tell him to look for my raised hood, he sees it, doubles back, we hang up, I get out of my car to greet him, I laughingly ask him what happened, and he exasperatedly shows me his phone, saying something to the affect of, "See, this is why I couldn't find it, it showed me the wrong address" The problem is, I couldn't understand him, like the simplest word, all I know is he pulled out his phone, pointed to the map, I laughed and said, "that's ok, you're here now, that's all that matters"

He started walking back to the truck while saying something about making a call, someone else, like I said, I couldn't understand him whatsoever, but I figured he needed help so I was like, ok, and stood there by my car, after he was done, he said something to me so I walked over to hear what he was saying, and all I understood was, "I'm scared" I was like, "What?" he started his truck and said more clear that, "I'm scared" I looked him straight in the eyes and said, "Are you serious? You've got to be kidding me, I'm just standing here saying nothing" He looked me straight back in the eyes, nodded, and drove off.

I immediately called back AAA to find out what the heck just happened and to get another tow since I was now running out of time, they told me I was on the "do not tow list" and they almost blew me off, like they were trying to get me off the phone, "I'm sorry sir, there's nothing I can do" I had to talk to four or five people before finally getting help, they said they would investigate more and get back to me, well, they never did, but you know what happened, after I talked to multiple people, telling them what really happened, I finally got a tow, and guess from who, that's right, Ellison's.

It went from a guy who was faking it, to one of the most nicest people I ever met, this guy was totally cool, but I said faking it because it seemed like that was Lincoln's go to comment to get out of doing something, all he has to say is, "I'm scared" and he's able to get out of it, like I said, I was literally just standing there not even talking to him and got, "I'm scared" and he drove off within seconds, so Ellison's, I'm writing this because of the person you hired, I would highly suggest that you come up with a better screening process.

I shout out for Jose Mejia for being the best tow truck driver I have ever had! He is so friendly and talked me through the whole process. He went the extra mile to roll my car out to the street. He even sent a picture of the car at the mechanic! I didn't have to go with him as I had to work. I highly recommend. If you are Jose's boss reading this, please consider giving him a raise. Outstanding service.

Eliison replaced the battery in my car and informed me that it comes with a 3-year warranty. However, after the replacement, my car began experiencing issues. Specifically, when starting the car, the dashboard gauges jump to the maximum, which likely indicates a battery problem. I asked them to return and verify if the battery was installed correctly, but they insist on charging me for the inspection, effectively making me pay for their mistake.

Polite, professional, knowledgeable. Happy with the service received from Ellison's Towing.

This morning, I realized I left my keys in the car. When I went to my car, my doors were all locked! It never happened before because I have a push start car. Usually, when I accidentally leave my keys in the car, my car door automatically unlocks itself. Anyways, I called AAA and it says my estimate wait was an hour. Literally not even 5 minutes later, Hans from Ellison's called me! I got lucky. He arrived, and he helped me within under 5 minutes. He was really nice and definitely good service! I love AAA. Thank you Hans!

As of Mar 16, 2024 they're web site reads, "We'll come to your location and install your new battery - FOR FREE!" I just called and they wanted a minimum of $280 for the service call and $180 for the battery for a total of $460. Last time I checked $280 was more than $0 aka free.

Ugh AAA failed me this time with the towing company. I had to wait over 6 hours for the tow truck to come. Dispatch was awful and said she wasn't going to get into what happened, but long story short, the driver's truck got a flat and instead of sending out a new driver, they made me wait until the flat was fixed.

The driver was super apologetic and nice, but this company needs help. So frustrating! At this point, I would have paid money to tow it on my own.

Late yesterday afternoon I required roadside service through AAA and they sent out a representative from Ellison's Towing. Patrick arrived in no time flat and, I have to say, he was so totally upbeat, positive and reassuring. Had the problem diagnosed right away and what I thought was going to be a major issue turned out to be just dumb negligence on my part! I was back on the road quickly but almost hated to see the encounter end. It was almost worth having car trouble just to meet Patrick!!
