Eric Brand Plumbing

Eric is the guy who knows best of his job. This is the second time that I call him for the service. I was surprised that he came on Sunday, even though his recording saying that service available during weekday.
Anyway, he did an excellent job as I expected and the price was right. Way to go, Eric! I will certainly recommending him to anyone who has plumbing problem. Eric is the man for the job!

After using some Liquid Plumber that was probably left in the pipe too long, we noticed a leaking hole in the pipe underneath the kitchen sink. Based on great reviews I read on NextDoor, I called and left Eric Brand Plumbing a message at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night. Eric sent me a text the next Sunday morning at 7:30 AM saying he could be over in about an hour. He quickly replaced the broken pipe at very reasonable rate (half of what I thought he could charge). Eric also let us know that the primary reason the drain wasn't flowing down as quickly as it could be was because the kitchen remodel we had done 15 years ago was done improperly with the pipes underneath the sink not being positioned correctly.

It turns out the contractors we had used 15 years ago positioned the undersink piping too high and because of physics, the water draining from the sink did not do so optimally. Because the initial leaking pipe problem was solved, we set up another appointment for a few days later to deal with the incorrect pipe positioning issue. Eric came over and was soon able to see why the old contractors did what they did (they were too lazy to remove an obstruction in the wood framing that was in the way of where the piping should have been installed. Instead, they built above it, which caused the slow drain issue). Eric removed the obstruction and expertly installed the needed pipes. The kitchen sink now drains fast and the way it was designed. We are very happy with Eric's work and again his rates are very reasonable. We will definitely be calling Eric again for any plumbing issues.

He's the best! Had gas leak and the gas company turned the gas off and said we needed a plumber to come over and cap off the gas line and then they will come out and put it back on. This all happened Friday night around midnight. Eric came over Sunday morning at 8:00 am repaired the pipe quickly and efficiently - helped me push to get PG&E out to come that day and turn on the gas which they did.
Highly recommend him for all plumbing needs

My second review of Eric
We are planning to do a kitchen 'refresh' (new countertop, sink etc.) and need a plumber to uninstall and reinstall the existing dishwasher, garbage disposal etc. I contacted Eric at 630 PM on a Sunday evening to see if he would be available, he texted right back, and within 30 mins was in my kitchen (yes! on a Sunday evening!) providing a hugely useful list of do's and don'ts with respect to changing out the sink (think about the depth), the faucet (need 2 inches clearance from wall to sink edge for some handles to work, and the garbage disposal (get a smaller 0.5 hp one). Honestly, a whole bunch of really useful information that lay-people like my wife and I would not have thought about and he quoted me a fair price for the work! Needless to say, he's going to get the job! Await maybe even a third review!

Eric saved the day! He truly did!! My shower was backing up/slow drain and there was gross standing water in it by the morning. It's a Sunday, so plumbers are limited. I found Eric on Yelp and he had great reviews and it looked like he was available on Sundays. I called Eric to ask for an estimate on pricing to snake the drain and if he could come out today. He quoted me a very competitive reasonable price for the job.

Short rant: I don't understand why other plumbing companies I had called before Eric couldn't give an estimate, but said they had to have someone come and see the job first....it's just an estimate and I just want to know that if they have a standard snake job, that it's not going to be $300. I understand that if more work is entailed that the amount will be more...but I digress.

Eric also reworked his schedule a bit so that he could make the trip over to my side of town and he ended up coming within a half an hour of me calling him. The shower started backing up even more when Eric arrived and the lip on the shower is not that deep, so I was panicked about possible overflow.

But, Eric snaked down about 20 feet and was able to clear the debris. There was renovation work in the building this week and this seemed to be a communal plumbing issue caused the debris from the construction work. I can't imagine if that gross water had overflowed onto the nearby hardwood.

I will definitely call Eric in the future for any of my plumbing needs. He was awesome!!!

I had a leaking water valve and running toilet. Eric arrived within 45 minutes... on a Sunday morning! He thoroughly explained the problems, possible causes for the problems, and solutions. He demonstrated how the parts work before installing them. He was very efficient. Friendly and great service. I will definitely call him again for any plumbing needs.

I should have written this much sooner - but better late than never!
Eric has literally saved us from a major flooding in our new apartment that we just moved into - and that happened on late Sunday evening!

Eric was first of many who actually agreed to come over with a pump, determined the root cause of leak (sewage connector issue) and since he was not able to completely resolve issue by himself - he called City of San Francisco on our behalf and requested a technician with a jetter to come to clean up the bad pipe the following morning - and they did, to our great surprise!

The following day Eric returned to perform a detailed triage of our sewage connector and correctly determined a root cause using video camera (!) and offered to fix the issues completely by replacing the broken connector. All for no additional charge BTW!

Although the building contractor ended up doing the repair work - we would like to make sure that folks are aware that there is a highly professional, friendly and quick to respond plumber in San Francisco and that is Eric Brand!

Will be very happy to refer his services to any home owners in the City and beyond!

If your looking for an honest opinion and want to get hold of a good reliable plumber. Eric is your man. I manage buildings in San Francisco and I came across Eric Brand Plumbing from just searching through Yelp and I believe it was a Saturday when I called him and he was willing to come out Sunday to do the job. Most plumbers gave me the excuse and didn't give me a minute to a least explain myself. He fixed the problem first thing on Tuesday morning and helped us with the issue and his prices are real reasonable. He is up to par with his customer service methods and knows his plumbing real good. I would definetly recommend this plumber if 1.) You want reasonable prices 2.) Detailed estimates 3.) Good customer service. I will call Eric next time we have a plumbing issue again.

Eric is honest, reliable, responsible and professional. On Sunday morning I discovered a major leak under the kitchen sink causing flooding in the garage. I called Eric Brand Plumbing and was very pleasantly surprised that Eric came out to the house, found the leak under the sink, went to Home Depot to buy the part, installed the part, ensured everything was working properly and his fee was extremely reasonable for a weekend job! I highly recommend Eric for any plumbing work and would use him again in the future!

We were very lucky to find him on Yelp, where he has very good reviews, so we decided to give him a call. We had a clogged shower that was dripping into the garage, and then water started backing up into the tub. So can't use the sink too long as it backs up in shower and tub. Eric came over on Easter Sunday. Worked really hard to unclog with small electric snake without much success. He came back after lunch and hooked up his large heavy duty electric snake and finally got thru a really stubborn blockage and cleared it.. . We are very happy with his work. Took him longer than original estimate, but his rate was reasonable and he did good work. We definitely will use him again.
