Fire Bowl Hot Pot 焰御火锅

The name says it all. The soup based we picked was quite spicy - even for a girl who's boyfriend regularly cooks with ghost pepper. That was a PLUS for me, but perhaps not for those faint of heart.

I have gone to. Specially ordering veggie meal and such a small amount of food. Wouldn't go again. Service also wasn't great

If you have a couple of hours, this is the place for you. Otherwise service is slo (as there seems to be one cook and one waiter).

Got my order wrong twice, and never ended up getting the right order. First order was a regular (suppose to feed 1-2 people) but was given the lunch special individual size. We had to question the waiter before he realized the wrong food was sent.

How lunch there with my hubby yesterday they had just been open for food was good very limited menu selections but the owner said they will have more items in September

Dear Lord! That Szechuan Hot Pot definitely lived up to its name. It brings up masochistic tendencies: your tongue and your lips are dying with every bite, but it's so good you want to keep going. My only complaint (very minor) is that we had to prod the waitress to keep the ice cold water coming so we don't set ourselves on fire. Otherwise, a very good and tasty hot pot dinner! A bowl for 2 is $24. Reasonably priced with a fair serving size. Would definitely stop by here again when my travels take me to Victoria.

This is definitely my favorite hot pot restaurant
The restaurant is small and serves mainly single serving hotpot so you can choose your own flavors
They have also the option for traditional one large hotpot half spicy and half non but we loved to be able to satisfy each his own taste

Ordered 3 different dishes my was spicy broth with meat combination
The dish was excellent! Right amounts of vegetables meat and broth and you can get it in different spice
Levels - I asked initially for Hot but listened to the waitress recommendations to go a step back to medium which was very smart..added some vermicelli noodles and had a great Meal - tasty, spicy and simple goodness.
My daughter ordered the kimchi version when I tasted it
Seems good but she said it's maybe a bit too sour.
My spouse decided to make her own which mixes up type of broth (coconut) with all kind of vegetables and meat as you choose - she loved it.
My only comment was the s l o w service as we got the dishes in three different timings so my spouse actually started when we both finished ...
Will definitely be back as the food is worth waiting
