Parking here if you're on jury duty is great! I came here early (before 9) and ended up leaving at 430pm for five days In a row because I was selected as a juror. The first day I parked next door at a lot that was almost identical. The next door lot is fine too but costs more money plus they want your key. I think this place has the best deal, 15 dollars for an entire day and it's right across the street from the Hall of Justice. Great location for jurors!! If you're there all day it's even better because they let you park in one of their good spots and you keep the keys! I always hate giving my key to some random stranger. Keeping my own key meant 1. No wait time on departure 2. Free access in and out of my car during the day. There were days where lunch was long during the trials and I went shopping at the nearby Nordstrom, bed bath and beyond, trader joe combo and was able to throw stuff in my car before going back to court. Anyway, highly recommend this place for people who plan to be at the hall of justice for an entire day!

      Updated review

This review is a duplicate of my other listing, by virtue of that fact that this a duplicate profile. The original review follows below:

      "

While looking for parking this morning at the Hall of Justice I met an extremely unhappy man working at Five Star Parking. It was around 8:30AM (Wednesday), and other jurors and myself were waiting in line to get in, leading to a line down the block. Seeing 4 cars pass me and nonchalantly pull into the other driveway of the same lot got me wondering,

"There must be something wrong, maybe these cars behind are double parked and that other driveway is the way to go."

I went in through the other driveway, and seeing no attendant I figured it was a park-yourself-pay-and-pay-the-machine thingy. Seeing no obvious spots in the lot after about 15 seconds, I begin to turn around and leave. Just when I was doing so, I turned to see an angry parking attendant rapping his knuckles on my vehicle. A little surprised (surprised like "oh THERE'S the parking attendant), I rolled down my window and benignly asked

      "Good morning. Whats up?"

Pretty harmless, I know. All the sudden this guy was like

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!? WHY THE FUCK THIS WHY THE FUCK THAT. SWEAR-WORD SWEAR-WORD SWEAR-WORD. CUSS CUSS CUSS..."

Basically, a whole lot of unnecessary obscenities and anger streamed from him with no apparent effect on me other than confusion. Apparently my inaccurate characterization of Five Star Parking's operations model got him in a major tither! Court-related bystanders watched the commotion as the man screamed into my car. When he was done, I refreshed his memory on the number of competing businesses he has on the same block and told him to have a good day. He gave me an insincere response followed by a "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!"

I took my vehicle next door, payed the same, but got great service (and I still think I came in through the exit again...

So... To the owner or manager of Five Star Parking (or whoever manages the Yelp Business Owner's listing of Five Star Parking), I present some basic questions:

      * How do you expect your business to be sustainable if your employees are cursing out customers?

      * What sort of message does this situation send to future customers, who could easily choose a competing garage on the same block?

      * Will you consider the need to reevaluate employment or training policy to reflect the shortcomings of your employee's poor interpersonal skills?

      * Will you offer to provide dictionaries and/or thesauruses to your employees so that they can have other words to choose from other than the few profanities that they currently know and use?

      * Given that there are "good ways" and "bad ways" to handle any situation (including the situation above), do you suspect that people will want to trust their car to a person to handles situations the "bad way"?

      * How do you plan to address and reconcile this situation so that you do not appear to be implicitly condoning this behavior?

Thank you, and have a good day!
