Fix Auto Divisadero

I am truly amazed! I was referred to Lafrono and Son in San Rafael after an accident with my Tacoma. Their attention to detail and to the customer's needs as well as the repair to my truck was the most amazing experience! Their tow truck driver also very much an amazing guy as well! My truck was finished a week ahead of schedule, they kept me informed through the whole process, Greg and Kevin were very helpful through the whole Painless process. And "Daisy," my Tacoma is as good as new thanks to all the hard work and dedication to the customer's this company has and has exhibited! Will recommend them to everyone I know!!

Staff was thorough in assessing the damage and highly communicative throughout the repair process.

Disclaimer: Work was paid for by insurance. I would have had sticker shock were it out of pocket.

I been meaning to update this review for awhile now but didn't get a chance to, I realized my car bumper repair was VERY POORLY DONE! Within less than a year you can see lil ripples of dent marks on the bumper! And no it's not from parking and ppl hitting my car. The ripples I've noticed is in the exact corner where they "fixed" my car. I concluded, It was a botched job, I thought I was getting a brand new bumper..well it looks like they just did a "quick patch up work" where they must of went over that big ass scrape I got with some cheap cover up material to conceal the dents and make it appear "new like" and now I clearly can see through the patch up work, because it shows especially in sunlight the lil specks of pebble like dents on my bumper!

Don't go here! My car looks terrible still, and I had to pay for this botched up job! I recommend you going to an honest body shop! This place is a scam! My original review said they fixed my car in 2 days! That should have been a red flag for me! I highly DO NO RECOMMEND this place!

I got rear ended and my insurance recommended that I come here for the estimate and repairs. Both Desiree and Nicole provided excellent customer service and I am happy with the quick two week turnaround. There was a slight issue with the Toyota decal but that was resolved quickly.

They provided complimentary sanitizing of the steering wheel and quick hosing down of my car, which was cool but unnecessary, since I did a quick wipe down of the inside myself before I left the area. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend them for others. Looks like they have a lot of business.

Nicole took the time to care and evaluate my car issue even though she was busy. Rare to receive customer service in the industry.

After I left the shop, I called AAA seeking to find a new body shop for any future claims I might have, and was so pleased to learn this same shop where Nicole works is AAA's #2 shop in my zip code!

This place is great. I have a SmartCar and the back and front were both pretty damaged. It's not easy to find parts for this car but Greg did it and the whole thing got done within the time estimated even though they had to wait for a part! They gave me calls a couple of times to let me know how the job was progressing. Was so happy to pick it up and get back on the road.

Unorganized, Rude, Unaccommodating.

My insurance company had a scheduled appointment for me for an estimate. They didn't have a record of the appointment. They didn't think to look up anything that may have be mistaken on their schedule. The representative would was only interested in me bringing the car back to do the repair without an estimate. He became quite rude when I said I didn't know if I would bring it there fore the actual repair.

They call me and said I never showed up. They would have to reschedule another appointment days later to do the estimate.

What a waist of time.

They didn't know what they were doing and didn't try to make an accommodation for messing up my appointment for the estimate.

I had a similar experience with this shop several years ago.

I used this company since it was part of the insurance company network and had favorable reviews. My experience could have been better.

Estimate went smoothly. Scheduled a date for repair and dropped the car in the morning and I was told it would be completed the following day. I had to ask for a copy of the paper work I had signed, but I realized they had only given me copies of some of the pages. I called and requested the others be emailed and they agreed, but never followed through.

The next day I call around 4p since I had not heard from them, and they said had left a message that the car was completed. I realized they had the wrong phone number in their system and I gave them the correct one. I arrive at the shop to find that they had not replaced a trim piece that was part of the repair estimate. They find the part in their shop and said I had to come back the following day. No apologies from the staff.

I leave a msg that evening making sure they have my correct phone number.

The next day, I call them, since I haven't heard from them again. Someone finally picks up the phone after calling ~5 times over a span of 3 hours. They insisted they had left a message earlier in the day and were rude/annoyed that I was calling to check on the status.

I go to pick up the car and the paperwork shows they still had the wrong phone number. (No apologies again for their mistake.)

The repair work was just OK. There are half a dozen small blemishes in the paint work.

Extremely un-friendly. Did not want to do the work from the beginning. They could have just told me that and saved all the time/trouble. Do not go here.

The worst experience Ever. They never let my car with the same color, I had to go to that shop SEVEN TIMES and still Not the same color outside NOR INSIDE THE DOOR!. Plus the back tires were bad mounted and TWO BOLTS were loose!.
Josh Lofrano is just good flirting but when is about the job.. IS A PIECE OF SHIT.

Thanks to Fix Auto my seriously damaged car now looks brand new. I worried that I'd get a call saying it was totaled--my car was involved in a hit & run where the jerk driver took out the entire left side--but they went above and beyond to repair everything.

I do think the communication could have been better. I did have to call for updates and press for information. That said, I highly recommend this auto shop -- the results speak volumes!
