I brought a 1 year old Bissell Spinwave Mop here. It was barely used, but 1 side wasn't rotating freely.

They said it was fixed. I paid $40, took it home.

It wasn't fixed.

I took it back, then they said it was fixed.

It wasn't.

Thats when I could see they "fixed it" by changing the screw so it really wasn't spinning freely. Got the pieces from Bissell only to find out they also changed the anchor piece that the screw attaches to so even this doesn't work.

Basically, my $120 mop is now garbage thanks to their fix ............

Needed a specific belt for my vacuum cleaner. When I called they said they had it. I showed up and they wondered around they store found a generic equivalent. It was cheaper and worked!

Jesus and his family have been fixing out vacuums for over 15 years. Hard working and honest people. Their shop burned down recently and they can use all the business and help right now. Hope they will find a location and they can serve pur community for a very long time.

Foothill Vacuum didn't actually fix my vacuum, so I can't speak on that. My review is only about their response time and follow through, which was awful. I called several times over the last month trying to find out if they could fix my vacuum. I was only able to reach him once, and was told he would call me back, but he didn't. I host on AirBnB, so I can't be without a vacuum cleaner for a month. Like I said, I'm glad I went ahead and bought a new vacuum cleaner after dropping my old one off there over a month ago. That's what saved me.

The belt that powers the rotating brushes on my Hoover vacuum cleaner broke. I went online and bought the wrong sized generic belt. Hey, if I buy it locally, I can always return it for the right size. Cost was comparable to going on line. So I called Foothill Vacuum, and they sold me the correct sized generic belt. I installed it and it works like a champ.

One of the best, honest local community businesses that I support. Growing up in Oakland, CA, Fruitvale District, my grandfather would always bring me to Foothill Vacuum Cleaner to fix vacuum cleaners as he worked as a janitor.

I can speak for every experience of a broken vacuum cleaner that I've brought in and Foothill Vacuum Cleaner always fixes it in less than 3 minutes. I bring in my vacuum cleaner that does not work, and they say "No Problem" take a quick glance, and fix it within 3 minutes!

Super cheap to fix vacuum cleaners and supporting a local business in the Fruitvale Dimond District. I highly recommend this place hands down and they also have a wide variety of vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners for the cheap. Will always support this business!

Over the years I have come here to have our central vacuum hose fixed as things got stuck in the middle of it and they have repaired it. Then when the floor brushes broke, I came here to have them replaced and this place has been around for eons. First they were at the Foothill location for about 40 years according to Jesus and then they moved to the Fruitvale Avenue location. So if you're looking to repair or replace vacuum parts, this location is very convenient.

Knowledgable. Men of few words. Quick. Inexpensive. Family Business. What more do you want?!

Our vacuum was broken again. Our normal fix-it-yourself remedies didn't work this time. Took it in. Guy says, "Let me see." Grabs a thing off the wall. Goes into his vacuum lab in the back of the shop. Five minutes later comes out, turns the vacuum on, shows me it works, and says, "10 dollars." I ask what was wrong with it? "Belt." Pay. Leave.

On the way out I ask if he'd like a Yelp review because I was delighted by his service. He says, "What is Yelp?" Perfect.
