Visak’s Repair

I've reviewed Visak (aka Sam) before with a stellar report regarding my Viking 3 Series oven-- outstanding!

Here I am again, leaving another glowing review, but this time for my 7 year old LG front load washer. He was just as knowledgeable and personable as he was working in my kitchen on my Viking stove!

He diagnosed the issue with the drain pump on the phone and confirmed the problem soon after working with it and testing things. He repaired it with the new part he had in his truck. Afterwards, he showed me the old part and why it was failing and placed the washer back in working order. He gave me some tips regarding keeping the washer in good shape and sent me a link for a "conditioner" on Amazon to promote the longevity of the washer. He also provided advice on the bouncing I was experiencing-- that it could be my shock absorbers or it's possible the fact that the feet weren't balanced (he fixed that). He wants me to keep an eye on it if the bouncing returns.

This is an appliance repair man -- business owner who has it all! Knowledge, skill, efficiency, personality, kindness and honesty! Don't look any further!

Sam is the best he came by my home and looked at my washer that wasn't working and said it was my drain pump that wa sent working. He offered to fix it and waive my fee so I said yes come to turn out I still was under warranty so I text him back at Sunday night and he called me back the next day and confirmed that he got my message and told me not to worry about the fee and extended he help towards me after telling him not to go forward. This is what you call a real good person that you can put your trust to fix your Houma appliances believe me I know. He was very professional and clean and he was on time and communicated with me the whole time. When my warranty is done and I need a repair guy I know who to call now. Thank you Sam god bliss you.

Sam is fantastic - skilled, knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend anyone for their appliance fixing needs.
We've used Sam twice. First time was after noticing our refrigerator was not working and the food had been defrosting for hours. He came in less than an hour, quickly identified the issue, repaired the faulty part, and gave us great upkeep advice. Refrigerator is still as good as new a few months later. Second time was when our washing machine was not draining properly. I texted Sam on Black Friday and he promptly responded, and confirmed he can come by monday. After he inspected our machine, he was very upfront and said it wasnt worth the money to replace. He recommended to us a used appliance store (since we had specific size restrictions) where we ended up purchasing a used unit.

Called on Thursday about my VERY old (40+years) Wolf range. They have the lowest flat fee for service of anyone. Sam came on Friday, expertly diagnosed and repaired the oven and made friends with the dogs. He did a thorough and successful job and was a pleasure to have in the house. I can't say anything about comparable prices because i was discouraged by all the flat house call fees from getting more than 1bid - while it's obvious why companies do this, it regrettable.
But next time something breaks, this is who i'll ask for help.

Sam was punctual, communicative and knowledgeable. He walked us through his thought process as he diagnosed our dishwasher.

Sam Visak is a fantastic honest man who is very knowledgeable about appliances. He was responsive and quick to respond to our emergency help. Our Frigidaire fridge was having an issue one day and we thought it maybe an ice maker while he diagnosed the fridge very well and it turns out that we had a bigger issue.

He came to our home in Oakland as soon as he could and his service for service call was reasonable. He definitely didn't charge more than what he thought was fair.

Again he's a great business owner and he's our go-to guy from now on for appliance issue we have. Thank you Sam!

Much like some of the other reviews, I did book an appointment window for my freezer repair and then they no-called, no-showed. However, unlike these other people, I followed up, received an apology, and was booked again the next day. Sam came out and walked me through his evaluation of my gasket issue, attempted to fix the gasket on-site and ultimately determined I would need a new one. He clearly laid out options for purchase and even instructed me on how to try to install the new gasket myself to save money. I did follow his instructions but still couldn't get the door to seal so called them back out and with a few tools, Sam got my freezer back in working order.

-educated me as he did the evaluation and repair so I could learn for future issues
-counseled me on cost savings options (I've had 4 new appliances break in 3 years and gotten ripped off by some businesses taking advantage of people
-prompt telephone and text communication

I want to take a moment to recommend Visak's Repair. Sam went above and beyond to get our dryer up and drying again. He came back and replaced a part 2x and did not nickel and dime us. I appreciate his professionalism and his dedication to getting the job done right. Thanks Sam!

Top-notch service call - Sam wanted to make sure he could fix my ancient GE oven so I sent some photos and he came within the hour, knew exactly what to do and troubleshot my stove too! The price was quite reasonable considering how much everything costs these days and he could not have been nicer to deal with. No upsell, no corporate fake smiles, all genuine. Best service call I've had in ages. Call Visak's!
