Gantry Plaza State Park

I have to say, I love Gantry Plaza State Park even more than Roosevelt Island. There's an abundance of seating and it always draws a lively crowd, making it feel both vibrant and relaxing. As the sun sets, the park transforms into a picturesque haven--truly stunning at night.

One of the highlights is the clean and somewhat modern restroom nearby, which is surprisingly accessible for a public park. A lot of my friends from the eastern part of Queens were unaware of this gem until I brought them here. They were amazed by how expansive and welcoming the area is.

For a quick bite, there are several food carts around offering a variety of snacks and treats, perfect if you're feeling hungry while enjoying the park. The park itself is really clean, and I just love to lie down on the grass and take a nap--it's that peaceful.

Gantry Plaza State Park is definitely one of my favorite places to hang out in Queens. Super cool, relaxing, and an excellent spot to unwind with friends or solo. If you haven't checked it out yet, you're missing out on one of Queens' best attractions.

The Manhattan views, the food trucks, the vibe is just what makes Gantry state park worth trying out! Families, kids, couples enjoying their time and kids playing around is just what I need in a busy city. It definitely has a very relaxed charm and so needed on a weekend.
We spent an hour and will be going back!

It's a beautiful park with a great view of Manhattan! Been here many times during the morning, day and night. There are rats running around at night from the bush to the grass area which is disgusting but other than that, great place to sit or walk around. Plenty of places to eat at restaurants and food trucks.

Excellent area to hangout for an afternoon. Will be excited for the food trucks and community activities in the summer. There is a nice bandshell, basketball courts, fitness equipment, and fields to lay on. One can have a picnic and run on the waterfront here.

Hands down some of the best views you can get of the city from Queens. So many paths to walk, plenty of seating, ample food trucks.

The weather was in the high 80s today. My commute from Bayside to LIC was an hour. Gantry Plaza State Park is one of my favorite waterfront parks. It was less than a 10-minute walk from the Vernon Blvd - Jackson Av subway station. There were a lot of food trucks and restaurants nearby.

I was relaxed as the waves crashed against the rocks. I enjoyed eating my delicious lunch. I put on some sunscreen before sunbathing. The cool breeze brushed against my skin on this hot day.

Very cute and scenic park. Everyone should definately stop by and stroll through it. It gets windy so bring a jacket.

Beautiful park with a great view of midtown Manhattan! For those who want to take nice photos, for families who want to play with their kids, for people who want to go for a picnic for everyone!

You can also take the ferry from this location. It will take you out to 34th str in Manhattan or somewhere in Astoria.

The Gantry Plaza State Park is right in the heart of LIC waterfront. A great park to enjoy some of the most beautiful views of the iconic NYC skyline. This park has lots to offer for everyone, plenty of loungers, benches, astroturf for sports, a cafe, and the iconic Pepsi Cola sign. There are a few restaurants and bars right across the street also if your looking for a more substantial meal. Lots and lots of beautiful paths to enjoy a scenic stroll. I really love that they are always adding to and updating this waterfront with more and more landscaping, its only getting better with time! The water ferry makes its breeze to get to and offers the most scenic route in my opinion. I feel like even at the peak of the summer this park is never overly crowded. If you plan on driving, street parking is available but if you aren't lucky enough to get a spot there are several garages near by, and the 7 train station is only a few blocks away. If you plan to visit NYC this landmark is not to be missed.

Lovely park. Clean. Close to a lot of food and there's a section in the park that sells food

You can get a beautiful view of Manhattan. The only down side is there isn't a lot of shade if you want to hang with a big group of friends.
