This is a good spot to bring the kids. The combo's have good variety.

Sushi and Bubble tea are good enough for the kids. But mostly I enjoy the Fried Chicken :D

First time trying, ordered delivery through Uber, we got the milk tea, spicy salmon roll, salmon oshi and chicken teriyaki Don.

All items tasted like 'filler food' if you know what I mean, they left both me and the wife a feel of dissatisfaction;
Milk tea tasted very generic, pearls were on the harder side
Spicy salmon had I believe tempura bits in it, may have tasted better fresh, but not suitable for delivery as it's all sauggy
Salmon oshi was prob the better of the few, though still nothing outstanding
Chicken teriyaki Don was just sad, literally a pice of chicken on a pile of rice with a single broccoli on the side, lack of sauce for the amount of rice

Though prices are reasonable, there are plenty of other choices that better satisfy your sushi craving at the same cost

Came in on a Saturday afternoon, not too busy. Not my first time here but first time leaving reviewing! The one guy that basically served and waited all the tables was a super star, he was super friendly and nice. Had the yakiudon, salmon and ebi oshis. The yakiudon was more koreanized, it had kimchi in it and surprisingly it was really good. The oshis were good but just a bit too saucy, not surprised. Overall experience here every time has been good and the prices are fair.

3.5 stars. I don't have a go to sushi place in vancouver anymore, since my old favourite was sold over a decade ago... One of my favourite rolls is the BC roll, and I've been on a never-ending search to find a good replacement. Ordered some BC rolls, California rolls and gyoza takeout for my little one and I for lunch. Everything was packed nicely, and sushi rolled nicely. Size-wise pretty standard, but nothing really compares to Samarai. The BC roll was packed full for crispy salmon skin, avocado and cucumber. Flavourful, crispy and delicious! My new go to for BC rolls. California roll was pretty standard but my little one gobbled them up. Gyoza was okay - could have been more crisp, and had more flavour and filling.

Will definitely be back for the BC rolls and to try some other items.

I can't escape the lure of BOGO on Ubereats and having a few good choices today, we decided to get the Takoyaki (x2), Dynamite Roll (x2), house roll, and a mix and match combo (tempura, chicken karaage, chopped scallop roll).

Not much of a change from my last review except this time, the rice was not hard and flavoured well. The filling to rice ratio is more than reasonable and we were quite happy with the size of the chicken karaage despite being a little bit dry. The dynamite roll had some crabmeat and two prawn tempura which was a pleasant surprise and the takoyaki were as expected!

Overall, another decent delivery meal from Hon Sushi!

Looks like prices have gone up a bit since the last time I was here, but they are somewhat reasonable.

Parking is available in the lot underneath. According to the staff, there is no need to record the license plate after 1800. There was this extremely loud shrill alarm going in the corridor to the parkade elevator. According to my friend, this thing has been going on 24h for days/weeks. Something to keep in mind. My ears were ringing by the time I reached the elevator.

The sushi here is honestly on the smaller side. An Alaska roll is basically the same size as a food court sized California roll, but with an slice of salmon on top. Something to keep in mind.

The Korean fried chicken is fairly decent and worth checking out.

With everything said, the best deal is the value combo, which is a Korean soup bowl with fixings. I think I will try this next time.

Great service and amazing quality food for my wife and I. Their ambiance was qualitative beyond most sushi places

Ordered the buy one get one through Uber eats of the salmon Oshi. There was hardly any salmon and a thick block of rice on each piece. Spent $26 after all the charges and was disappointed

I got a chicken teriyaki bento that comes with:

- Teriyaki chicken,
-tempura
- California roll
- small salad,
- rice
- miso soup

Also added a dynamite roll and tuna sashimi
The rolls were good size and tuna sashimi were thick slices

Pretty good portion size for your sushi fix!

I have ordered from here many times during the pandemic & since, and I usually order the same things.

They do offer 2-for-1 a lot on delivery apps!!!

I'm only giving 4 out of 5* because I've never set foot in this place, and the dining experience is a must.

Now, my go to orders:

Tako Yaki: neither bad nor good, what I would expect from a konbiniya. Still warm when delivered, so 4/5. Needed more katsuobushi.

Fried Chicken: Meh. For a Korean fusion place, should have nailed the Japanese karage marinade & seasoning. Was bland. Haven't ordered again. 1/5

Dynamite roll: perfect! Even for delivery, they packed hot & cold separate! Taste & quality is what I expect, 5/5!

Dynamite combo: I separated bc not all the nigiri (fish-on-rice) sushi was the same. They give 2 salmon, 1 tuna, and 1 ebi (cooked shrimp). Can't go wrong with Ebi, 5/5. Salmon was fresh, but I'm guessing by the colour to be farmed. Also fatty, so farmed. Considering we live in a salmon source, I expect better. 3/5. Tuna....tuna, tuna, tuna. What can I say? My first sushi/sashimi experience was in Japan, so I have standards as to how my tuna should look, smell, and taste. This is not sashimi grade (ahi) tuna, so nope. It was fresh, so I'll give it that, but not the colour, flavour, or texture I look for in my tuna 2/5.

To be clear, I rarely order sushi here in Vancouver bc my first and for many years experience of sushi was in Japan.

That being said, this place isn't bad! I mean, I ordered more than 1X!
