Disappointing that today is not my day for coffee. I'm also quite disappointed that service was just barely a sliver above okay.
I ordered 2 iced Hawaiian lattes (one with oat milk and one regular), and a Hawaiian cream cold brew. The cold brew was extremely sour, and not what I expected. I hate asking for a redo, but I honestly feel most places would offer to make a different drink for me, but the baristas only offered to add more cream to the cold brew. (No cream will really fix sour in my opinion.) That was a half attempt on their part to make it right. I went ahead and ordered a Hawaiian latte with oat milk and felt this still missed the mark.
I took a picture of my friend's Hawaiian latte with oat milk compared to mine. As seen in the image, the colors are different despite being the same drink. There isn't consistency.
In the end, one of the baristas did add an extra shot of espresso for me free of charge, but by then, I felt my impression was already colored after having purchased a total of 4 drinks.
The place was clean, but I don't see myself coming back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 2, 20241 check-in
honolulu coffee, located at nelson square, at 888 nelson street g1, is a vibrant and cozy café with a hawaiian theme. the interior features a mural on the wall with palm trees, a sunset, and the phrase "brewed with aloha" in large letters, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
the café is quite spacious, with tables and chairs arranged to create a lively and social environment. the seating area is comfortable and casual, encouraging relaxation and conversation among patrons.
the lighting is warm and inviting, with hanging pendant lights adding to the cozy ambiance. plants and natural elements, like the stone column, enhance the space with greenery and freshness.
this café offers a charming and relaxed environment, perfect for enjoying a cup of kona coffee with pastries and sweets or even a pale ale, while soaking in the pleasant surroundings. during my visit, i had the hawaiian iced latte with oat milk. it was a delightful treat, perfectly balancing the rich flavours of macadamia and coconut with the smooth creaminess of oat milk, making it a refreshing and indulgent drink.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 31, 2024
Why 5 stars? Because anything Hawaii Coffee is a hit with us and this was no exception.

We had already stopped for breakfast at another place, but purposely saved our coffee order for Honolulu Coffee. We couldn't help but order a couple of of additional snacks in a banana cream cheese muffin and a cheddar biscuit, which were great, but the coffee was excellent as usual.
I ordered a Hand Brew, which initially the employee said he wouldn't be able to make because he was the only person working, but then he offered to make it as long as I was willing to wait 10-15 minutes. I appreciated that, as that's really what I wanted to order. And it turned out to be just as pure and amazing as I hoped it would be.
We would have loved to buy some beans too, but they are incredibly expensive. Granted, that's not Honolulu Coffee marking them up - Hawaiian beans are just crazy costly.
Thanks for the great start to our morning, Honolulu Coffee!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jul 2, 20241 check-in
Lovely spacious coffee shop with Hawaiian vibes. Got an iced americano and latte for my friend, and it was nutty and very much to my liking. Felt like I was in Hawaii for sure. They had lots of yummy sweet options as well and staff were all very friendly.

Coffee bar, not located in a high traffic area, but very busy on a Sunday afternoon, so people are coming here to hang out. It is located within downtown Vancouver, and was within walking distance of our hotel.
It has very comfortable seating throughout, and there was a wide variety of ages and ethnicity hanging out. There were only two baristas working, so waiting was mandatory, but one of them prepared my wife's Hawaiian Latte ($6.30) really quickly once the order was placed. Hawaiian = macadamia nut coffee with coconut milk. she really liked it. Unfortunately for me, the free wi-fi refused to work, no matter what I tried. They do sell 100% Kona coffee at the expected high prices.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 29, 2024
3.5 stars - cold brew coffee we got was still just ok after it was tweaked a bit. The servers were friendly but one of them was super loud, even as she was cleaning the tables; I thought someone was trying to deliberately smash the cups and plates. Location near court. Shop is pretty large with nice decor and plentiful seating.

Nice big spacious coffee shop in the heart of downtonwn.
Parking here sucks unfortunately.
The place looks pretty modern, and has a nice tropical theme thanks to some murals on the wall.
Staff are friendly.
The coffee is pretty tasty. Not sure how authentic their coffee is, but it's decent.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1373382Mar 19, 2024
Cute, island-theme coffee shop in downtown!
I stopped by before taking the SkyTrain back to the airport since it was right by the hotel I was staying at. The place is tucked inside a small plaza.
I ordered the seasonal Matcha Lilikoi Cream Latte, bacon cheddar scone, and guava bread. Service was nice and attentive.
The whipped cream of the latte definitely made it! I think most of its flavor was lilikoi dominated as opposed to matcha. The drink itself was alright The bacon cheese scone was decent. The guava bread was my favorite thing I ordered! The actual flavor of guava really came through in the bread. It was so tasty
A cute spot with a big space to chat or work! (For the maximum of two hours though!)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 598666Feb 21, 2024
I always enjoy the Hot Chocolate Festival in Vancouver every year. Honolulu Coffee offered a hot chocolate I had never seen before! Customers received a brush pen and could draw pictures with activated charcoal ink, and they even had an art contest! It was really fun!
#93 - CALLI-COCO
Available January 13 - February 14, 2024
A fun hot chocolate with INK-spiration! The base, a heavenly blend of 28% white chocolate and perfectly steamed milk. A glass of jet-black enchantment by the side, a concoction of activated charcoal power, sesame paste and the fragrant touch of earl grey. With the provided brush pen*, the canvas is yours to paint. To add a touch of your artistic experience, this set include a delicate fortune cookie, offers not just a drink but a journey of self-expression and discovery.
On the side is a gourmet style fortune cookie.
The hot chocolate itself was okay, but what's most important for this hot chocolate is that it offers a very unique option, allowing customers to enjoy artwork!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2023
What festive and summer vibe-ey coffee shop in the heart of the city. Walking in, you'll immediately all the great things they have to offer coffee goers: plenty of seating, some even with outlets and plexi glass partitions; food, ranging from pastries to savory croissant sandwiches; merch and coffee beans to-go.
The place smelled delish, almost as if the aroma of pizza was in the air. Was it the savory sandwiches or perhaps a nearby pizza shop? I'll never know. But beware, you may want pizza on your way out.
I was there for about an hour to handle work calls and sip on a matcha latte and also grab an almond milk latte to go.
Additional pros: They have a punch card system; after your 10th drink purchase, you can redeem a $6 bev of choice.
Only con: The guest internet was very wonky for me. After a few times that I lost connect, I packed up my bags and went back to my hotel.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
