I wanted my main water shut off valve moved to a different location along the pipe. I contacted them on their website and sent a photo to their phone number. Got a quote in 1-2 days. Steve recommended replacing the old pressure regulator, and 2 old valves at the same time and quoted around $700. That's a good quote. It was roughly the same quote I had received a few years ago (no inflation?!) from another small plumbing company that moved out of the area. They had time the next day. Quality of work was very good. I think the name of the person who did the work was Spencer.
At the start of the job Steve came and observed that there were some challenges that he did not see in the photos I had sent. The pipes were too close to the house wall. The stucco was added after the pipes were in place. They had use pipe elbows to route the section of the pipe away from the wall to accommodate the new pressure regulator. Another thing that Spencer later told me was that they had arrived with parts for 3/4" pipe, but I had 1" pipe. So Steve had to go to the store to get parts. These issues were mentioned to me only for my information. They did not whine about the extra work, bigger parts or ask to increase the cost.
A few things Spencer tried didn't work out due to the limited length of the pipe and the closeness to the stucco. The final solution he came up with looks very elegant. He took his time (almost 3 hours) to do it right and explain things to me. This was far from a rush job to get on to the next job.
He said it was a 4 person company.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael J.San Mateo, CA232Apr 5, 2024
Perfect for small businesses. Swift services. Will use again!
I am building out a Coffee Cart, but the water lines I had weren't compatible with my equipment. I used I Plumb Inc's online booking services, and had an appointment booked and confirmed for the next day (I'd recommend uploading photos to their site and calling them when booking).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tiffany C.San Carlos, CA12317083May 17, 2024

When shit goes down (or rather, when it doesn't) don't throw a shit fit. Call I Plumb! Look, shit happens. We all need someone to rely on when we find ourselves in a shitty situation. You should NOT have to deal with your shit alone. With a toilet on the fritz and a clogged sink, I was swimming in shit; it was a shit storm at my house, category 5. I tried to fix it myself but was clearly out of my element like Donny; shit out of luck. Then, my dad recommended I Plumb and they responded to shit quickly! They got shit done. No cap, no crap. The plumber who helped me was amiable, transparent, and considerate as he went in and out of my home. I unfortunately got stuck on back-to-back bullshit business calls. While he worked, I had to listen to a client throw a shit fit However, with I Plumb, there was no crap to cut, and that was such a relief!
In short, I Plumb fixed both of my issues efficiently. They are THE shit. I would recommend them without hesitation and will certainly call on I Plumb again should I find myself ( not) in a shitload of trouble.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Miki V.SoMa, San Francisco, CA01Jun 14, 2024

Steve seems friendly and personable initially but his persistent refusals allowing his contractor's info mandated on many needed official docs and inflexibilities plus unwillingness to work with us did trouble us! We had a big project and needed much flexibility to meet our plans and project's goals per our intents properly. Sadly, Steve was not willing to support us.
We will not recommend Steve and there are many other better plumbers available out there, frankly, that's what we did and were happy we did not use Steve.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ken B.Millbrae, CA017Apr 4, 2024
The main issue is communications. Getting in touch with Steve along with his team and his prompt response to plumbing issues makes him stand out among the best of the best in licensed plumbers that I know . I have recommended him to many customers and have heard nothing but great satisfaction from them as well. They are very appreciative that in case plumbing issue arise, they can contact Steve.

Steve is an excellent and very knowledgeable plumber. Last week he came to our house the very next day after I called him for my leaking water heater. He brought the right parts and replaced the defective TPR valve. There is no more leaks. I was impressed with the fast service.
He is very reliable and a friendly person who is from the San Mateo area.
Earlier last year he also reviewed and fixed various plumbing deficiencies that were noted during our house inspection. He also completed those fixes in a very timely manner. He is definitely my go-to person for any plumbing issues. He also very affordable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - J. H.Palo Alto, CA202Jan 16, 2024
Steve and Spencer are honest, respond quickly and are very knowledgeable.
They diagnosed and fixed the leak in our hot water pipe.
On another visit they fixed a hot water problem installed by someone else. They knew exactly what needed to be done. They work well together too.
I highly recommend I Plumb, Steve and Spencer.
Price is reasonable and very much in line with costs of other plumbers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
