Izakaya Yoki

Came here for a casual dinner on Sunday evening, and the rolls here really hit the spot. They have all the staples of an izakaya, and the food is reasonably priced.

We came right as the happy hour was ending, so we were able to get some beers at 50% off. Love that they offer Dokkaebier. As for food, we got the Edamame and some rolls to share, including the 3 Amigos, Surrender, and the Dynamite Roll. My favorite was the Surrender, but all were very solid.

Service here is great, and our food came out promptly. Truly no complaints and I feel like I'll definitely be back to try more of their other food :-).

Overall, this was a nice lunch. The restaurant was mostly empty, but we went mid-day. Service was friendly.

We split 3 rolls and a large Saporro beer. The rolls are very pretty, nice plating.

I will say the flavor was just okay. The soft shelled crab in the Jungle Boogie was a little overly cooked. The flavors didn't pop on any of the rolls, but I liked the 3 amigos the best. I love sushi and this was perfectly fine. I would eat here, if I were close by, but would seek out a wow option for a vacation trip.

Decided to check out this spot after getting an intense craving for some sushi. I ordered the 3 amigos roll and some salmon and scallop nigiri. The fish tasted pretty fresh and definitely satisfied my cravings. I also ordered the yoki salad because I wanted some greens. The salad was very refreshing and the black sesame dressing added a very nice flavor to the salad.

I came by a few minutes before happy hour ended and was able to get the deal which made my meal extremely worth the price. I ordered a yuzu beer that was very light and crispy tasting. The service is very nice here as well and your food comes out pretty fast! I would definitely recommend coming to this place during their happy hours!

I was worried because I was their only customer at lunch, but my $16 bento box lunch special was tasty, inexpensive, fairly healthy, and very fast. The server was very kind. I had salmon rolls and salmon teriyaki. The teriyaki wasn't overcooked, as it often is elsewhere.

Went here before a concert at the Masonic Center. Super convenient as it just two blocks down the hill. Of course the hills are steep in this area!
Friendly staff, food was great, and they have a 50% off alcohol happy hour from 5-7pm. I believe it's everyday but could just be week days so check in advance. I recommend a recommendation because it filled up pretty quickly. Great date night location before a concert!

I loved the butterfish here last time I got Doordash. Decided to come back for dine-in! Overall, the fish quality is decent. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but not a terrible option for sushi in the area.

The Heaven Roll and the Bay Bridge Roll were pretty delicious! Honestly, simple options, but they satisfied my sushi craving for the day. The waitresses here were quick and efficient. No compaints on the service!

This is located on the corner of a commercialized area. Near The Masonic, August Hall, Union Square, and Grace Cathedral. (expect parking to be tricky!!)

Quick and delicious place if you're craving Japanese or Korean food. Came here around 9pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Service was friendly and responsive.

I ordered the Jjam Pong ($18) and it was filled to the brim with seafood (mussels, clams, shrimp, and even a whole crab leg) and udon. Taste was authentic and the kitchen was able to accommodate my "mild spicy" request. The bento box ($24) was a classic, nothing out of the ordinary and satisfied all cravings. Something unique was the black sesame dressing for the salad! Also, a must order is the Lucky 7 roll ($17) if you enjoy seared salmon. Overall, I had a great experience and the quality is amazing for what you pay for.

Note that parking was difficult ... there's mostly street parking and a few garages two blocks down for $12-15 an hour.

Still one of my favorite sushi places in the Bay Area! We went here again recently, and received exceptional service in addition to having a great meal! We accidentally knocked over our sake, and the friendly staff immediately wiped it all up without any concern and replaced it with a new container. It looks like they added music videos to the ambiance because I don't remember seeing that before. Fantastic place for sushi/sashimi and drinks!

Wow! This was some of the best sushi I have ever had. The rolls are huge and all so flavorful. It was hard to choose which rolls to order off the menu because they all looked so good. I would recommend all of the rolls but the heaven roll was my favorite. Service is very quick and the ambiance is chill but still has some energy. Highly recommend!!!

I was craving Japanese, so tried this for takeout. So good! The bulgogi was very flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked and the salad and soup included were a nice touch. The takoyaki was fine, but a bit burnt. I also had lion king and bay island rolls, both of which were also amazing. Will definitely order again.
