Jang Mo Jib

Wow the interior of the restaurant's art and design are gorgeous! From the street it appears very small but is much bigger inside.

The staff gave us plenty of time to both eat and enjoy each other's company.

And of course, their food was delicious!

A very short walk from our hotel. Very cute restaurant and loved the decorations. We ordered the short ribs and the japchay and it was very tasty. The service was excellent.

We had very Bad takeout experience because no utensils were provided. We used Uber eat service. Food was good but we had to ask hotel for utensils . Portion was small

First time at the Vancouver location and the inside was super spacious like the Burnaby location. Ordered two cold noodles because it was a hot day. I fully expected one to be spicy and the other not to be but the noodles were completely different! I loved the chewy texture in both of the noodles and would get it again for sure! The rice cake and beef soup was disappointing though. The rice cakes were too soft and didn't have the chewy texture you long for with rice cakes and there was little meat to be seen as well. Definitely felt like the dishes are hit and miss but doesn't stop me from trying it again

Tried to dine here tonight. Never again. I've been coming here for years. Even before they moved to this location. Totally ignored. Like we didn't exist. Rang the bell for service twice in the 25 min waiting for anyone to take a drink or food order and nada. Plenty of work people walking by. No acknowledgment. Nothing. So just walked out. No questions why. Just who bloody cares. Leave. We couldn't care less. Imaginary byyyeeeee. Yess. Buh bye JMJ. You just a lost a loyal Korean decade long customer. Buh bye.

Open until midnight, we went late night because of cravings for spicy Korean food. It hit the spot. This new location (2021) has a kaorake room, a bar and an outdoor deck (weather permitting) that looks out onto Robson St.

had good veg to rice ratio $12.98. 4*

Pork Bone Stew
portion meant for at least 2 diners. Hard to be dainty eating this dish. Need to suck on the bones to get every last bits of tender meat. $32.98. 4*

aka Yook-Kay-Jang. A lightly sweet and definitely not as spicy as it sounds or looks $14.98 4*

Been craving JMJ's cold noodles and galbi for the longest time. It's been over a decade since the last visit, and it's a different downtown location, but still the same authentic, well-balanced, delicious Korean food! Loved the short walk from our hotel and the many shops nearby. The servers were kind and friendly--like almost everyone in Canada! Prices seem low compared to the LA/OC area, especially post-pandemic. Will be back soon!

Had a chance to visit Vancouver recently and so glad I got to eat at Jang Mo Jib! I had dinner there the first night we visited and forgot to take pictures as we ate all the food up too fast. Went back the next day for their Korean style chicken wings. They're slightly spicy, slightly sweet and super delicious! Try anything off the menu, it's all good!

Mediocre Korean food. Service was okay. Ambiance was very average, nothing special. I guess my expectations were too high.

Love the foods and love the customer services. We ordered J1 in L and the portion is so big. They gave generous meats. We also ordered T3 and in the middle of eating the soup, my kids want more potato noodles so we ordered extra noodles. They said since they cannot just bring the noodles on the side, they said they can bring our soup bowl and remake another one with extra noodles. I was surprised by their excellent service. I'll definitely come back again whenever I visit to Vancouver. The prices are cheaper compared to states. Love it. Thanks for the great services you provided.
