My mother and I had occasion to use the Jefferson Avenue Parking Garage on a recent visit to see a movie at the Century 20 Downtown Redwood City Theater (which is in the same building) and it was a very pleasant experience. There was a little bit of a traffic jam entering the garage off Jefferson Avenue, but once we were inside the garage there were plenty of spaces free. Each level has clear signage with it's own color: P1 signs are red and P2 signs are blue. Each row has an alphabet letter designation. pro tip: Use your cell phone to take a picture of the sign closest to your car; mine was a blue sign that said P1row E.

BE sure to take the parking ticket with you as you'll need to pay at one of the parking pay stations before returning to your car. There is an electronic pay station in the middle of each floor and one next to each of the elevators.

Parking rates are relatively inexpensive. The first 1 1/2 hours are free. We got our parking ticket validated at the Century 20 Downtown Redwood City which gave us 4 hours of free parking, which was sufficient extra time to grab dinner after the movie.

On weekdays, the parking rates are $0.25/hour (after the first 1 1/2 hours which are free)
after 6 pm, the rate goes up to $2.50/hour. Weekends are $2.50 per hour.

The parking lot is well lit and they have plenty of employees on site to help explain how to use the payment machines. Definitely female friendly and inexpensive.

Convenient parking spot with so much space and good value. I have never parked on the streets in the redwood city downtown and always parked in this garage and have never had issues.

They give first 1.5 hours free, and if you're at the century theater, you get 4 hours free if you get your parking ticket validated. Paid about $2.50 for 3 hours of parking.

Please take your parking ticket with you after you have parked your car, so that you can pay on your way back to the car.

Elevators take you across the 3 floors: P2, P1, and G

No complaints, would only park at this structure since it is so conveniently located in the middle of downtown and all places are easily walkable from here.

Big parking garage which leads you out onto broadway next to the movie theater they have 2 levels of parking it does get full on the weekends

If you go to the movies you can get your ticket validated for 4 hours it does get costly if you don't have a validation

Not sure if the other places around there validate

They have stairs or elevators to get to from the top to the lower levels

Usually we do not go over our 4 hours of parking but there were a few times we did extend over the 4 hours if we stopped and grab a bite to eat or a yogurt we never had to pay since we have a handicapped plaque but for some reason today 7/7/18 we were over the 4 hours by 8 minutes and the guy wanted us to pay $2.50 / we showed him our plaque and he said yeah so what we said we usually don't pay with the plaque he said what does the machine say to pay we said 2.50
He said well than pay it.

I asked him isn't it free with validation and plaque he said only validated for 4 hours than you have to pay if longer we said we usually don't have to with the plaque he said use cash or card and pay the machine. We tried with our credit card it didn't work so we buzzed him again and he said WHAT we said dir snot working he said put your card in correctly- very rudely- I said we did he said next time go to the machine before you drive up to the exit so you don't hold
Up the line to get out. We said we never had to pay before so we did think it would
      Be an issue

He opened the gate and said next time don't park here if you don't know what you are doing

I now know why he sits behind a glass wall and closed doors he doesn't know how to interact with customers he needs to be trained on how to be professional and speak with the customers that provide him with a job

I entered the garage at 11:47 and left at 4:08 on Saturday 07/07/2018 if you check to see how the employee was who was working at this time please provide him with some customer service skills

Good location and provides the parking needed i enjoy the RWC downtown area. Lots of shops and eateries nearby as well as a large cinema theater and music venues (like Club Fox) and live performance theater (like Fox Theater!). There's also a helpful digital sign that literally tracks how many spaces are available in real time. Hopefully you luck out when a movie is letting out and you snag a good spot.

For me, this is the most convenient parking in Downtown Redwood City. Located on Jefferson between Broadway and Middlefield, it's right below the theater.
The theater will validate parking up to 4 hours, but I'm not sure where else will validate - I know Spaghetti Factory doesn't. During the day it's only 25 cents an hour, but it jumps to $2.50 in the evening, so that can get pricey. But I think you get the first hour free.
It gets crowded on weekends, but weeknights are usually wide open. There is a garage now open in the Box building also, so hopefully that will take care of some of the crowd.

This is a good parking spot in Redwood city. Better than street parking since 1st 90 mins are free.
There are a couple of ways out and it is smack dab in the middle of downtown. Very convenient.
There are stairs that are more like the fire exist stairs which might be difficult to climb for certain people but, if you have the patience to wait for the elevator then you are good.

I worked in Redwood City for a week, and discovered this garage after one or two days. While I had to pay $6 or so at other garages, this one only cost me $1.75 for the work day. Awesome deal.

I arrived earlier than all the shoppers, so there were plenty of spaces to park. I parked near the pay booth and the elevator for convenience.

Beware though, prices change after 6pm. One day I slept in the car after work because I was not feeling well and also wanted to avoid the rush hour, and when I paid after 6pm the cost was $7! When the machine gave me change, it spits out the cash on the floor, so I had to pick them up off the floor.

These minor annoyances can't compare to the great benefits of this garage. I will just be more careful not to stay past 6pm. Will definitely use this garage again when I work there again next month.

my preferred choice of parking whenever i'm in downtown redwood city. this garage is centrally located in the downtown neighborhood, and sits just underneath the century movie theatre and all of the shops and restaurants located along theatre row. it is typically crowded on the weekends since visitors to downtown rwc will all park here.

      prices are as follows:
      weekdays: 5am-6pm, $0.25/hour, 6pm-11pm, $2.50/hour, 11pm-2am, $0.25/hour
      weekends: $2.50/hour
      overnight: $20

the first 1.5 hours are always free, and if you have validation from the century movie theatre, the first 4 hours are free (enough for a 2 hour show and a meal!)

be sure to pay for your ticket at one of the many machines scattered throughout the garage before you exit as you won't be able to leave without a paid (or validated) ticket.

The worst garage on the face of the planet. Never any spaces, rude employees, and no respect from other drivers
