Delicious chicken! Came here on a Friday around 6pm and it was starting to get busy for dinner. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor and the walk up the stairs is to get you ready for the amazing food. We were seated quickly and notified that the A/C was not working. Luckily it wasn't too busy yet so we felt comfortable and appreciated the heads up.

We got the custom bone in Kosoo chicken half and half with our choice of 2 styles. We got the Mayack + Yangnyeom. We were super hungry so we also ordered the Honey Butter boneless chicken.

We were served a side of pickled daikon. You can also request a side of rice. The Honey Butter boneless chicken came first (because it doesn't take as long as bone in to cook). The chicken was super hot, crispy, sweet and juicy. There were also pieces of potato and rice cakes. We loved this dish! Our 1/2 Mayack & 1/2 Yangnyeom came shortly after...wowza, I think we over ordered. It was a huge platter. The Mayack had a delicious cheese powder and was served with yogurt for dipping. The Yangnyeom was sweet and a little spicy. We had so much leftover.

We highly recommend this spot for chicken and would try it again for their other dishes.

I wanted to eat Korean food while I was in Vancouver, so I found this in Robson St. First, I asked the female staff for the recommended menu. She advised that Yangnyeom-Half Size
Boneless Fried Chicken with Sweet chilli Sauce(Chicken Thigh, Rice Cake, Potato, Kosoo Sweet Chilli Paste Sauce)
and mushroom bulgogi are popular. All the staff are kind and good service. I really enjoyed Yangnyeom fried chicken. I'm sure you'll be addicted to this sweet and spicy taste. I couldn't finish the mushroom bulgogi because it was too much. It's enough for two people to eat what I ordered. I ordered chives pancakes to take out. It was yummy.

      Good food, excellent service!

The food is good, but the menu is lacking in vegetables. I really liked the Honey Butter Chicken while my boyfriend liked the Soy Garlic Chicken.

The service is attentive without being overwhelming, which is perfect in my book. Staff was available whenever we needed something, and they immediately brought water when we ran out.

The ambiance is almost good for a date because the noise level was a bit high and I had a hard time hearing my date. Definitely better to come with some friends so you can share different flavors of chicken, otherwise you're better off getting a bowl or sandwich.

Came here for some soju and fried chicken. The chicken was extremely juicy and crispy. The place filled up almost immediately after opening which is always a good sign. The service was decent. I would definitely come back here and try more stuff.

Went here on Saturday night. 7 of us ordered a lot! We ordered the fried checked with go ju hang sauce and soy garlic chicken, Bassam -asked for lettuce, Kimchee pancake, and a seafood dish. Service was great. Yujin(spelling? ) was our server, attentive, friendly and helpful! Dishes were delivered rather quickly. I enjoyed the both the chicken
Dishes and the pork belly wrapped in lettuce and the sauce. The Korean pancake was my least favorite. It tasted and looked like cheese pizza.

Yummy!!!!! You need to walk up a flight of stairs to get here, but we'll worth it. A very cute restaurant, good for a date, with friends and with your family. The fried chicken portions are hefty, but good. The chibap bowls can be shared with 2 people, and so can just the platter if fried rice. We loved the assortment of side dishes that came out with the LA galbi with the hotpot of rice and soup. Loved it!!! If you're in Vancouver, it's a sure stop. :)

Soy garlic chibap....with a kick of spice. :)

What a great place to get KFC, Korean fried chicken! Got here early for dinner, just after 5 pm on a Sunday. Noticed there was a line down the stairs waiting for tables starting at 6. So come early.

We were a party of 4. Ordered two orders of the kimchee fried rice, gochujang glazed chicken and soy garlic chicken. That was a lot of food! The photos don't do it justice. The plates of chicken include corn and potatoes.

First, the kimchee fried rice had healthy portions of pork belly that was cooked with the rice. So delicious and topped off with an over easy egg.

My favorite was the chicken with the gochujang glaze. Perfect mix of sweet and spicy. All different sections of chicken chopped up, fried, and glazed. The corn and potato was a nice surprise. The soy garlic is good for those who may not like spice.

One of the few delicious AND reasonable priced places left in this city! Their fried chicken is always excellent and we got the cold noodles which were excellent as well. The side dishes are free to refill. Bill was less than $20/person for dinner. Overall highly recommended!

I stopped by Kosoo right after arriving in Vancouver for vacation with two of my friends. It was the first place we tried, but honestly our favorite of the whole trip. We were craving some Korean food, so we walked over about a mile from our hotel for a late lunch on a weekday.

We were seated pretty quickly and looked over the menu. The fried chicken options and the bossam really stood out to us, but everything looked delicious. We ended up splitting two dishes for the three of us and were pretty full in the end. They give banchan as well which you can refill.

      Food:
      - Supreme Fried Chicken - The yangnyeom (sweet chili sauce) fried chicken with creamy sauce, corn, and rice cakes. The fried chicken was really crunchy and the sauce was amazing. It was savory, a little sweet and had a good kick to it. We all love Korean fried chicken and this was such a good sauce that we haven't had elsewhere.
      - Half spicy jokbal & half original bossam - My friends like jokbal, but I just like bossam, so it was nice that we could get an entree half/half. The meat was all super tender and perfectly cooked. It really made us wonder how they cook it - sous vide and broil/torch? It was caramelized/charred on the outside perfectly too. The only downside is that they charge you extra for wraps to eat with the meat, but not too much.

Overall, we were really satisfied with our meal at Kosoo and wished we had visited more than once during our trip to Vancouver. Next time!

      Service: 0.5/1
      Ambience: 1/1

There is lots of selection at Kosoo and it is generally pretty good! There are a few dishes that I thought were not really up to par but overall it is definitely some good korean fried chicken!

My biggest complaint about Kosoo is the service - every time I've been here it's tough to get the attention of the servers. One time it took 40 minutes after dinner was over to wave one down for the bill - and this is while we were actively keeping an eye out for them coming by to get their attention. The place wasn't that crowded at the time either.

Overall I'd say Kosoo is a pretty decent pick if you're looking for korean food.
