Main Street Parking Garage

Really cheap parking. At $0.25 an hour, it can hardly get better than this. And given that I'm an Asian woman driver (people like me are the reason the stereotype exists) I'm pretty incompetent at parallel parking, so a garage is the best choice.

It's walking distance to everything DT San Mateo has to offer, so it's pretty awesome

It does not matter if I review this garage or the other big one downtown: Central Parking Garage (by the movies).... they both ROCK.

PS: Pay at the central Station by inputting your spot number - no need for receipt posted in the car :) nice and easy.

It's so cheap! If you park at particular levels you can either pay ($0.50 or $0.25 an hour!) Wow. You can't get that in a lot of cities with metered parking. It's also fairly centralized and near all the restaurants and fun activities in San Mateo. I highly recommend parking here. It's no frills and no fuss and super cheap!

One of those funky parking garages where you note the spot and pay for it at a central meter. Usually pretty empty since everyone goes to the Central Garage is the heart of downtown.

- unclear where the pay station is
- pay station only takes 1 dollar bills
- underground level counts as street level and has 3 hour limit

allocate at least 20 minutes if you want to park there

Right in the middle of downtown and holy crap 50 cents for an hour! Ludicrous
