Noe Valley Auto Works

I had a flat due to two nails in my tire. Another tire shop said it could not be repaired was going to charge me around $160 to put a new tire on. Thankfully I decided to try somewhere else, thinking I could get a new tire cheaper.

I think the man I talked to at Noe Valley Auto Works was Fred. Super friendly. I asked for a new tire, and it was about $20 cheaper than the other place, so I thought sure why not. But Fred asked me why I didn't just get it repaired. I told him about the other shop saying it was beyond repaired, but he said he'd fix it if he could. I worked at Bernie's coffee shop down the street (free wireless!) for about 45 minutes, then he called me back.

Total cost? $40 to get it fixed. Awesome, saved me a bunch of money. I was a little worried that maybe it would go flat again, but I just drove it on a 4k mile road trip across country and handled it like a champ, so they know what they are talking about!

If you have a Tesla, you know what a pain in the ass these cars are with their tires, flats and repairs. This is the first time where I felt like I was not taken advantage of having a Tesla and actually the tire could be repaired versus needing to buy an entire new one. These people are fantastic, honest and I hope I will never need to be back, but I'm sure I will ...they're highly highly recommended.

Everyone was wonderful and I felt I was taken care of and not being taken advantage of. I have been to more tire shops in the past three years, owning a Tesla, than total 20 plus years. No joke. You got my trust and business. Ty so much. Your work ethic, mannerism and professionalism did not go unnoticed

Excellent customer service! Has gone above and beyond to make sure my car is working well while spending the minimum on repairs. Generally has a wait and see approach to expensive repairs which I appreciate. I've been going here for years and plan on continuing.

The only thing to ding these guys on was that they were swamped- but that speaks to my great experience. I came in on a recommendation to get a tire replaced. They discovered when I brought it in that another tire had a nail in it. They called and let me know and I said "go ahead" (because why wouldn't you get a nail fixed? They finished the job and even cleaned the car!

One thing that was also amazing was when I got stuck with work stuff down on the peninsula, they were okay with the car hanging out overnight because I couldn't get back by close.

Super nice and a great job. Three thumbs up.

I've been bringing my cars (VW, Volvo, Audi) here for at least 15 years and I've only had great experiences. Fred and Sabrina who run the place are delightful and easy to work with and really know what they are doing.

They've done everything from tires to some major work, and it's all gone smoothly. I would choose them over a dealer any day.

I've never once felt that anyone was misleading me into spending extra, which is often a worry for people when it comes to car maintenance. In fact the opposite is true: they will let you know when you can put something off and they will justify when you have to act immediately.

Finally, they *always* clean your care inside and out, even after replacing a single tire, which I must say is a nice touch.

Came in just yesterday to have our yearly check-up before a family road trip. The folks here communicate well and service was excellent as expected.

Just awful. Avoid like the plague. Everything from lame rude staff to wildly overpriced to scamy-scam-scammers giving out bad advice.

Given them a few chances over the years since I live very close to the shop and they have disappointed at every turn.

This place treats its customers so well that sometimes I think about running over a nail on purpose just to pay them a visit. Been coming here for many years now, and they've always been really honest with great pricing and service. Just had a single tire repaired, and got the car back with a fixed tire, car washed on the inside and outside, and some other maintenance, for probably less than a car wash would have cost. The people that work here are really nice, too.

Good communication. Friendly staff. They were honest in telling me I didn't yet need to fix something another mechanic had told me needed fixing immediately. Really appreciate the service and transparency.

OMG - I LOVE this place. Sabrina and Fred are so helpful and honest. I help an elderly friend by bringing her car in - first for tires and now to fix the a/c. They squeezed us in, gave us options for service (and cost) and recommended that we just do the smaller repair and same money since she only drives to the grocery store once a week. They also checked the fluids, tires, etc. to make sure it was running safely for her.
