Ox King Noodles

Delicious and authentic! Came here after my cruise because my group was craving Asian food after all the American cuisine. We ordered the braised beef, beef pancake, xiao long bao, rou jia mo, and the special beef noodle soup. Nothing disappointed! The pork xiao long bao was especially juicy and flavorful.

I went with a Chinese family who enjoyed the food. However, I did not enjoy the food and it was not a fit with my personal taste profile.

Ox king special noodle soup had a rich broth. I thought it was a bit too salty. Everyone finished their noodle dishes so maybe stick to those staple dishes.

Xiao long bao was ok / pretty standard. The other dishes were not so good. Braised pork was dry. Wonton had no chili oil, sauce was a strong sesame paste. Beef biang had an overwhelming salty thick sauce.

There was a pitched sound the entire time coming from machinery in the restaurant which was off putting.

Listen if you are in the downtown victoria area hotel somewhere walk about 20 minutes to this hidden gem. Great noodles and broth with a good selection of different types of soup and rice dishes as well as appetizers. Service is fast and efficient and friendly. Price is fairly reasonable. Serving sizes are good, if you're hungry or you can opt for sharing! Highly recommended when in Victoria BC

I ordered the clear soup beef noodle and my partner ordered the Dan Dan noodle. We were both satisfied with the dishes we ordered. My noodle was springy and the soup was flavourful.

I'd come back and try the other dishes too.

Great noodles and soup bases! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, especially the Ox King Noodle Soup and rice dumplings.

The atmosphere is wonderful, it really feels like home as soon as you walk in. Some nice hot tea to start and the waiters are kind and food came quick!
I ordered the Ox King Special beef noodles soup and it was so good! The balance was delectable, veggies were crunchy, meat was flavourful, noodles were very nice, and I drank all that rich, broth-y soup. Would definitely eat it again! :)

This small, out of the way noodle restaurant is a real gem! I love the menu as, it has good variety and is so affordable. Highly recommended!

We ordered Ox king special noodles, szechuan noodles, and pork noodle soup. We also got lamb and beef skewers. My wife's szechuan noodles were smaller in portion size than expected. All dishes shared the same white flour noodles, which were enjoyably chewy in texture.

The service was very courteous and prompt. Decor was comforting and inviting. We quite enjoyed our meal and would return to try out the rest of the menu.

Super popular joint. Great service. Wonton soup is to die for... seriously. It's unique more like big dumplings in this gorgeous broth. We order it once a week and share it as the wontons are like dumplings they are huge.
A definite go to !
