Panda Island Chinese Cuisine

Pleasantly surprised!! The food was great , the staff very accommodating, the price and portions are great. I wish I would have found this gem sooner while visiting the island. Definitely worth stopping btw I'm very picky on my food and expect quality they didn't let me down. Wish I can give a 10 star rating lol

Honestly one of the better Chinese restaurants in the City, and it seems to be family run. Always nice to us, support them!

This has been our go-to Chinese takeout for the past year and it's definitely the best choice in Victoria. The service is friendly and professional and the restaurant is immaculate inside.
The breaded almond chicken is amazing and just that dish is worth a trip.

I had a great experience with this restaurant! I'm currently staying at a hotel and decided to order some food through DoorDash. When placing my order, I made sure to mention that I couldn't have any sugar, honey, or maple syrup. The very thoughtful owner of the restaurant called me to let me know that the entree I had ordered contained sugar, but she was kind enough to suggest some other options that didn't have any sweeteners. When the food arrived, it was very tasty. The noodles, veggies, and beef were all delicious and cooked to perfection. I also really appreciated that they had a section on the menu dedicated to single diners. These meals included a main course, a vegetable, and a carb, which was a perfect way to have a complete meal as a solo diner. I will be back!

We wondered if this was new because it has so few reviews. Thank goodness we went! Run by a very kind Chinese family, it smells delicious the moment you walk in and the food was fabulous.

Fresh, crisp vegetables in all of the dishes we got. We ordered two items and brought home enough food for another meal. (So sorry I didn't snap photos of the overflowing plates of food--next time! For now see photos on the menu pictures I snapped.)

We wanted loads of veggies and got them with the Chicken Chop Sue and the Cantonese Chrissy Noodles. Where we live it is impossible to get pan fried chow mein noodles, so these were such a treat with bbq pork, shrimp, squid and chicken plus veggies. Both dishes came with a brown sauce, though both unique in flavor.

I so thrilled we found this place and I am already making plans to take family and friends back.

My only issue was I did not care for the squid on the noodle dish; the shrimp were fabulous though.

This little restaurant is a gem. The portions are generous and the food so tasty. They are friendly and very accommodating.

They were willing to add beam sprouts to our chop suey order when we learned it isn't a part of their recipe. And we were very excited to see they had pan fried noodles for their chow mein. Sorry we didn't take photos at the start. We will definitely be back!

Panda Island is an excellent Chinese food establishment. Service is top notch and the food is fresh and flavourful. I dined in with a fairly large group (including small children) and they were highly accommodating. Highly recommend this eatery in Oak Bay neighborhood.
