Portside Garage

When I started working at my current company, right next door to the Portside Garage, it was a no brainer to park there for the convenience. The prices are definitely reasonable and competitive for monthly parking in San Francisco.

I had zero complaints, but I did leave for a month to use a crappy "valet" service that my company's benefits had an agreement with at a reduced cost. Let's just say that I got what I paid for, for that less than a month of usage. Then, they had the nerve to increase their cost by almost 200%! It was so terrible that I demanded a refund and contacted Portside right away.

As usual, every single person I've dealt with at Portside has been and continues to be impeccable with their service. They are friendly, reasonable and accommodating. This garage is also located very close to some great restaurants like Epic, Waterbar, Palomino, Boulevard and AT&T Park for concerts and games.

I'm not quite sure why people write such crude reviews, except that maybe they had a bad day. I have been a customer of theirs for almost 10 months now. The only reason I would ever cancel my monthly parking is if my company moved locations. Even if that were the case, I would still park at Portside when I'm near the area. Since I started working at my current company, there have been numerous windows broken for the street parking almost daily, but I never worry one bit, because Portside is extremely safe with plenty of cameras around and gated during the wee hours.

They say they close at 7 online and on the ticket. The attendant told me they would close at 6:30, which was already annoying. Then I show up at 6:25 and find that the garage is closed, my car is locked inside and no one is picking up the phone.

I had a chance on observe how badly parking staff treats the cars. While I was waiting for my car, I was seeing that the parking garage employee was driving my car way too fast through the garage and he was not even trying to slow down on huge speed bumps they have in these garage. Instead of driving customer's cars slowly and carefully, he was basically destroying the car by driving very fast (15mph) through steep and high speed bumps that people would usually drive at 3-5mph.

I noticed that the parking staff was driving the cars of other customers in similar extremely indelicate manner.

He was driving my car like that in front of me - I can only imagine how much worse they drive customers cars when customers don't see it...

Been a long time customer. The owner yelled at me and told me to f off after I request he not put my keys on the hood of my car. He the proceeded to follow me on foot, harassing and yelling at me. This guy had a complete meltdown and almost tried to start a physical altercation with a customer while screaming at other patrons throughout the engagement. I took my car and left.

Strongly cautioned against using this garage.

I park at Portside monthly. Location is quite convenient and price is actually reasonable for SF.
But the best part of the garage is the staff. Theres one guy named Jessie he is absolute awesome. When i leave my keys with him i feel confident i can get my car back intact. I have noticed he drives with care, and is always courteous and polite.

With so many garages to choose from, the staff usually sets the business apart from competition, props to Portside for hiring professional staff to care for our cars and going above and beyond in customer service.

Portside garage is a great value for 12.00 per day if you arrive prior to 9:00 a.m.
Problem: today they told me my honda pilot is an oversized vehicle and it would be $25.00.

I moved to Portside last year and I love this garage. Patrick and his staff are wonderful. They are kind, curious, and very professional. No matter how busy they are, and believe me they get really busy, the attendants are always friendly and ready to take care of my car. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Parking in San Francisco can get extremely pricey, but I love using Portside because they're actually affordable. And even with the lower price, I still feel safe parking here. The staff is reliable, and I know that if I ever have any concerns, I can count on them to address my needs.

In any case, I was paying $300/month for the privilege of parking outside in a designated spot where birds would shit on my car. The shit was fine, but what was worse is that if I didn't arrive to the office early in the morning, they would let other people park in my RESERVED spot. I would then have to go to their office downstairs, and they would tell me that "our accountant will call you about refunding you for the day..." but of course I would never get a call.

tl;dr, this place sucks.

Host Parking/Portside Garage rocks! I cannot say enough about the team that runs this facility. They always go out of their way to commodate my needs, are always pleasant no matter how busy they are and work super hard to keep things running smoothly.

I have never had a reason to complain and highly recommend them to everyone for short or long term needs.
