While parking here was a necessary evil, this garage has the most inefficient parking and retrieval system I've ever encountered.
I don't blame the staff at all. I place responsibility for this failure on the folks in charge of budgeting for more attendants. This garage is so short staffed that it took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line.
Even though this garage is right next to the hotel where we stayed, I would rather park around the corner and walk back to the hotel.
I don't recommend this garage for its inefficiency due to lack of staff.

Just tried to go into the parking garage and didn't see any clear signs that told me to stop, right as I enter the garage i hear a HUGE bang on the side of my $200,000 car. I turn and it's the attendant and he just hit my car with his hand that also happens to have a bunch of rings on it too. he said "YOURE SUPPOSED TO STOP AT THE SIGN" and i asked what sign and he's like back up back up i'll show you. i back up and he points it out and he then proceeds to ask how long i'm going to park for and i said 0 im not parking here. he then tells me to get the fuck out of here. never in my life have i meet someone that's so rude. I proceed to go to a structure down the road and go to inspect my car and it has scratches on it. from HIM. I'll be making a police report cause it's unbelievable. never ever come here.

the employee let another customer take OUR car key because "he was busy & the customer was trying to help & said it was his key." we've been stranded in san francisco for over an hour, we do not live locally or have easy access to the spare, and i hope the employee faces serious repercussions, if not termination, because this is absolute bullshit.

Person was not clear and was going to charge longer than i stayed. Do not give business to this parking garage. Not trustworthy.

Came here as a way to save money as I was parking overnight while I am staying at one of the hotels for a long weekend and staying just under one fourth of a mile from this place.

Anyway, they MISPLACED my keys for 25+ minutes....

Who misplaces someone's keys?? Not only do they not even consider giving us some kind of discount / refund for wasting some of my much-needed vacation time and, as I need to park there again tonight and/or tomorrow night but they had the gall to ask whether I even gave the key to the attendant originally.!!!

I would strongly prefer parking elsewhere or, even paying a greater price if it means no one's misplacing my keys and I lose valuable vacation time fretting about replacement keys... Pathetic.

Someone needs to tell the attendants they need to learn better customer service skills as the number of parking structures around Union Square is substantial and even though their price point is competitive, the service is not.

I reserved a space at this garage through SpotHero as easy access to the Curran theater. When we arrived at the garage, we were told they were full and would not admit anyone, even though we had paid for a spot in advance ($32 to see a show). I am incredibly dissatisfied with the experience and hope @sf_curran will take the recommendation off their website so future theater patrons are not duped.

After waking up groggy and slightly in a haze from strong but excellent drinks at the Clift's Redwood Room the night before, I had to move my car at 7:00am before San Fran could, ever so gently, lay the parking ticket hammer down on me.

Across the street on Geary a little past Taylor, I saw a white sign with bright red letters beckoning to me. At a flat rate of $8.00 for the early bird special (if you get there between 5am-10am), I was pretty excited to find a good deal since meters are $3.00 per hour and only accept quarters.

That's where my good experience stopped. After seeing 2 people pull out of the lot, the attendant held out his hand in a "we're full" manner. WTF?? I just saw 2 people pull out of the lot! How is that "full"? And it wasn't like you were super crowded at 7:15am. I left and continued searching.

The 2nd part of this lot is on Mason, right past Geary, which I learned when I saw the same sign with red letters flashing the $8.00 unbeatable deal. When I tried to pull into this one, the guy said, "Sorry, we're full. You'll have to go to our other lot."

After I explained to him what happened a mere few minutes before, he says that he'll go talk to his employee. Okay...? So I follow him across the street in my car.

I see this "boss" go up to his employee, they do a little fist pump, joke around, and he gets me into the lot. Uh...awkward? Did I not just tell you your employee refused me because the lot was too "full" when it was obviously not?

Too tired to deal with it and because I couldn't find a cheaper parking garage or lot in the immediate area, I left my car with them.

Luckily, when I came back, nothing was stolen, but they had to move 4 cars to get mine out. Maybe if they asked me when I was leaving beforehand, they wouldn't have had to deal with the clustercuss of Pac Man reparking. Also, they didn't check for pre-existing scratches or dents on my car for liability reasons, unlike what I've seen just about every other company do. Yikes.

So I did give them my business because it was fairly cheap...but I'm not proud of it. (You can bet I'll be BARTing next time, even if I'm carrying a crapload of stuff.)

This place is a tourist trap. If you are not getting the $14 early bird, then its a free for all. If you use Android App "Best Parking" i(which is great) it wont help cos these guys charge you what they feel like. The quote from the morning guy will be no reflection of the evening guy's charge.
There is no posted rate board, and the $26.whatever posted on the side of the building is pre "city tax", whatever that means.

If you are like me and work all over town and need to find a reasonable place because you are never quite sure when your work day will end, this place will piss you off.

Dont waste your money.

I feel a little silly writing a review of a parking garage but here goes.

My one time experience here was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful when I arrived.

When I returned--about three hours later--they were very busy because a show had just ended at the Curran Theatre (just around the corner) and lots of patrons were in line to get their cars. Despite this the crew moved the line along quickly and ran through the garage to retrieve cars. I left them a car with thousands of dollars of camera gear and electronics and nothing was disturbed.

They had tuned my Sirius radio to a banda station but I mostly found this amusing.

I would use this garage again.

It's really bad, you pay double if you're 1 minute late. The attitudes of those Valets are also really bad. The only benefit is low price.
